Five of the largest U.S. banks publicly committed to mandating a diverse slate of applicants when hiring employees, part of a push to diversify an industry whose top ranks remain largely white and male.
JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America Corp., Citigroup Inc., Wells Fargo and U.S. Bancorp all said they would either adjust policies for considering job candidates or disclose the ones they already have in place.
Their policies mirror the so-called Rooney Rule, which started in the National Football League as a way of making sure people of color are considered for coaching jobs. In recent years, the rule has gained traction in corporate America, particularly for boards of directors.
The commitments came about after the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, a union group, sent proposals to the banks in its capacity as a shareholder. The group owns shares through its reserve fund. That led to discussions and a series of agreements, according to Brandon Rees, deputy director of corporations and capital markets at AFL-CIO.
Banks say they already had interview policies to diversify their ranks, but the public agreements are meant to add an element of accountability for their progress. Over the summer, racial justice protests drew attention to structural barriers for people to color to advance in corporate America. At banks, where women and minorities have long struggled to ascend to the top ranks, attention turned to hiring practices.
“There’s been diversity at lower levels of the financial services industry, but you have something of a glass ceiling when it comes to senior management,” Mr. Rees said.

I’ve noticed at least 70% of couples in advertisements are inter racial. Heck, in the latest Reader’s Digest, in one of their humor features, the little cartoon has an inter racial couple.
They seem to be pushing the white man with a black woman combo very hard.
I had to deal with one of those “diverse” types at my bank recently. I pulled $200 out for cash to carry. I had to help her count it out.
I wonder if that is mainly a cost-saving measure for the advertiser. It saves them the trouble of making different print ads for Ebony and Field & Stream magazines. :-P
Lets do this for the next 4 years. I moved into cash, gold and know how to invest for a downward market with cash infusions from government. Lots of little PUT and few buys and sitting at home not spending money on shit one does not need. I got that covered for the last 12 and the next 12...easy.
Having worked in the past for the quota president of woke operations, these just one more try with someone more diverse blow up really quick.
Someone who is denied an interview should sue.

Many Bank positions are just cogs in a wheel. Just about anyone who can read, write and do a little math will fit in fine.
You might want to think about shorting the dollar. Declining empires debase their currencies.
The more losers they hire the more capable people they’ll need to do the work for the incompetents. The federal government does this all the time (i.e., hire skilled contractors to do the work the employees cannot or will not do). In other words the government pays two people to do what one person should be doing.
It goes on all the time. I kid you not.

Happens all the time in the nursing field when recruiter's bring in foreign trained nurses to fill staff shortages.....and is the largest complaint reliable and capable nurses have.
Doesn’t all this push to discriminate based on race violate the Civil Rights Act of 1964?

Seems like thousands of winnable lawsuits just WAITING to happen.
Of course, that assumes one would be heard by a court that wasn’t already corrupt to the core, which is quite the roll of the dice.
