Joe Biden’s campaigning from his basement and frequent lids, where Biden was kept away from the media, were a common punchline in conservative media. “How can Joe run a campaign from his basement and hiding from the media?” “How can he be trusted to run the country if he can’t handle a campaign?”
Even when he did leave the basement he got questions about milkshakes. There were times when Joe Biden wouldn’t be seen for days. His campaign told us that it was because of debate prep, but no one actually believed it.
But the campaign is over now. Regardless of whether you believe Biden was legitimately elected, he has the job he applied for, the job we were told repeatedly by his campaign he was fit to handle. So it’s more than a bit concerning that on Saturday, a mere four days into his presidency, Kelly O’Donnell, the White House correspondent for NBC News, reported that the White House had called a lid, and Biden would not be seen in public for the rest of the day.

This isn’t even funny anymore. It never actually was funny, but now it’s far more serious. Biden and his campaign assured the country he was perfectly fit and able to handle the duties of president, and yet Biden is already being hidden from the media four days into the job.
When President Trump got COVID-19, he didn’t let that stop him from running the country, even as Biden called another lid.

IF a SOTU address is given, it will be nothing but a bash Trump speech. “It’s worse than we thought”. Obama style.
Just enough time to fool people into believing whatever excuse they use was not planned.
It will be portrayed as tragic and random.

His handlers know that he won’t be the pretend president long. Clue is the urgency to get all these executive order signed. They all know.

Dr. Fauci announces it would be better if Congress and the president not get together in a large group for the address. Biden’s press secretary announces Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer want to set an example for the nation so there will be no in-person state of the union speech this year. Biden will send a letter to Congress supplemented with a five minute taped, televised address to the nation on the date of the speech. The fawning and compliant mainstream press will spend days talking about the great leadership now in office and “speculating” on the content of what will be a great speech.
Meanwhile Biden’s handlers will spend days coaching him through the five minute aide scripted speech he reads in the Oval Office using a teleprompter. The speech is carefully and skillfully edited using film from multiple takes to remove gaffes and senior moments.
The night of the state of the union speech Biden’s five minute speech is aired with Biden looking and sounding very presidential in the carefully edited message to the nation. He makes the key points the handlers want the public to hear and he gives the impression of being vigorous and fully capable of doing the job. During the speech he references longer written message which has been carefully prepared by the handlers, bashes Trump, Republicans, right wing extremists, and includes every left wing agenda item. Biden’s “historic” short address is followed by an hour of leftist journalist and Democrat operative “analysis” of the longer written message plus negative commentary on Trump.
Republicans are given a five minute “equal time” soundbite to respond, but they haven’t seen the Biden televised message or longer written document before their session is taped. The RNC, McConnell and McCarthy pick Romney, Murkowski, or Collins to deliver the five minute pandering statement talking about the new spirit of bipartisanship in Washington and how much they are looking forward to working with the Biden Administration. Not one word about Trump.
Right...tired...he signed his name 10 times and didn’t even know what he was signing. Bet there was a sticky note on each one. Wonder if there was a big red “x” where he had to sign. President Trump always held everything up for the Press. Not this ..........

In my younger unfortunate days in the 1980s, a “lid” was a drug term for an ounce of marijuana. Curious that Biden and his occupiers should use the same word.

I've given up. Our Republic has been taken over by the Media, Academia, Gimmdats, BLM/Antifa, Soccer Moms, and all kinds of wannabe anarchists. Obviously, the ballot box no longer works.
Free Republic formed Veterans for Constitution Restoration (VetsCor) years ago to enlist Veterans who would fight the growing socialism, but to no avail. We did out best but found Vets would rather hang out at their local VFW/American Legion posts and drink while telling war stories.
There is no going back to our Republic. I and the Wife and our little doggie will watch the end of the greatest experiment in freedom on this rock in the quite safety of our home watching our 4k TV. However, don't think when the millions of released criminals come, I'll just stand by.

This whole thing has been nothing but one big fraud put on the people of the United States.
We are all going through the scare event that is necessary for the public to experience in order to be able to accept the horrendous evidence that is starting to drip out and so that they will be able to accept the solution.
All Joe has to do is sign executive orders.

Maybe due to Covid he will deliver the SOTU from the oval office. There he would have more control over the kind of screen he will read from and he would not have to walk in to the joint session. Covid will be his excuse for everything. It is so sickening.
