Or maybe they want to have all their names for the draft for the next war that the Democrats start.

Part of the definition of a totalitarian state is that anything that is not forbidden is compulsory.

It’s possible that some people are too dumb for college. How many understaffed coffee shops are there?

More students certainly do not need to be taking on more debt, along with their parents, for any degree that doesn’t have a high correlation to being hired at a salary that allows the debt to be repaid. Any degree with the word “studies” in it automatically fails this test. I know I certainly made that error with both of my kids and was fortunate to clear my portion of the debt some time ago.
I strongly encourage most parents to send their students to a local community college first to ensure they are capable of the work and discipline at the college level. There are too many distractions at the typical 4-year institution for most students. Parents should be quick to recognize if their child is not ready or would better benefit from entering a technical or trade school. The really bright ones will rise in the trade and seek independent opportunities such as owning a trade contracting business.
Even entering a STEM career field is no guarantee with the prevalence of H1B and outside contracting overseas for technical services.

“Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)”
THE form to fill out for financial aid.
So states are requiring a student to fill out a FEDERAL form in order to graduate.
China Joe & The Ho are all for that, I’m sure.

I taught engineering and technology education for 30 years. We need fewer students going to college and mor to trade school.

In other words, parents will be mandated to make financial disclosures or their children will be denied a HS diploma. I wonder if GED’s will also require it.

Lawmakers in at least eight states are pushing legislation this year that would require high-school seniors to complete federal or state financial-aid applications before they can graduate, part of a broad effort to guide more high-school students toward college advanced uniparty socialist indoctrination."
There, fixed it.
As someone else noted, another way to get names for a demonrat/uniparty draft, to fill vacancies created by their never ending wars.

There are already too many useless college degrees out there.
One of the things that I thank my Dad to this day for is that even though all six of his kids graduated from college (and five of the six with graduate degrees, two of those five with professional degress), he insisted that each of us also learn a trade.
This accomplished two things:
- None of us grew up to be bed wetting liberals who would look down out noses at those who didn't graduate from college.
- All of us got jobs that enabled us to earn more than the average bear while working our way through college.
And, as a bonus, I still find my manual job experience damn handy in doing things around the house and yard.
