The GOPe hates us more than the Democrats hate us.
Fake news
The Turtle has zero integrity - THAT'S his real legacy.
The author reads a New York Times story and tries to analyze it as if the reporting is accurate.
When I see a NYT headline I assume the story is false -- and in fact deliberately planted there to mislead the readers.
“Announced the eve of the House impeachment vote in the pages of The New York Times”
And there you have it.
Fake news.
1 reason this article is a blunder.
The author believes what the new york times told him.
My question is, can a former president have a trial in a new Senate session after he has left office?
Wasn’t just the NYT reporting this, gang.
FNC and FBC (Lou Dobbs) also reported the exact same thing.
And even if you think it was “fake news”, ask yourselves honestly - do you for ONE SECOND doubt it’s true?
I sure don’t. The Turtle HATES Trump. He HATES Conservatives.
Imminently more than plausible The Turtle wants to “purge” that party of Trump AND his 74M followers.
That said, he apparently isn’t very good at math - because a Republican won’t ever elected as County Dog Catcher if Mitch is successful “purging” even a small fraction of the MAGA voters.
It's about our ethics.
Republicans resent that their base holds them to higher standards than the Democrats are held to by their voters.
That puts Republicans in the position of actually having to work for their votes, make promises, and then defend their actions against those promises. These are things their Democrat counterparts don't have to do, and the Republicans hate it.
To them, the double standard is not that the MSM let's the Democrats get away with everything, it's their own voters do not.

Jack Posobiec on Twit says Mitch now using impeachment to blackmail Trump over pardons for Assange, Snowden & Ulbricht.
GOP in meltdown.
“Rinos” typically survive in politics because the voters see them as better than the Dem alternative.
For McConnell, Graham, Romney, and the congressmen who voted to impeach, I don’t think that holds true anymore. Not that the rank and file will vote Dem, but they simply won’t show up on election day. Why vote for Graham? Why vote for McConnell? Why vote for any of these dirtbags?
Fake news. Didn’t happen.
This didn’t age well. The author should have known better. I did. The minute these stories surfaced, I thought “this does not sound like something McConnell would say or do. Where did they get this?”
And sure enough, it was the damned New York Times with another one of its patented “no sources, no quotes” Narrative Eruptions. How many times are we supposed to fall for this before we ‘get it’ that the NYT makes up total crap and “reports” it as a news story?
“to purge the party of the new populist right appears to have unraveled.”
There is not a NEW populist right in the party. 75% of Republicans have wanted secure borders, fixing our insane China policy, and been opposed to global control of the US for decades.
What is new is that Trump is the first Republican leader who actually agreed with 75% of Republicans and did something about it. The rest of them have been running a Lucy, Charlie Brown and the football scam on R voters for decades.
Romney, Graham, Cheney et al. just want to go back to the good old days when they could say one thing when running for office and then laugh at their supporters when they got to Washington and did the exact opposite, over and over.
Hence, the purge.
Trump’s new party won’t be a third party, it will be a 2nd, MAGA vs. UniParty.
As Ben Domenech explained in Wednesday morning’s issue of The Transom, the plan here would seriously threaten to rip the party “apart while dramatically increasing the likelihood that Donald Trump forms a third party — something his supporters would overwhelmingly welcome.”Yep.
McConnell still doesn’t understand Trump voters.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer — who will soon switch jobs — will go to church with Biden on the morning of inauguration along with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
In a sign of unity, the top lawmakers will pray together at St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Washington before Biden’s swearing-in, according to two people familiar with the schedule. Biden will be only the second Catholic to serve as U.S. president.
President Donald Trump and his wife Melania have refused to do the traditional get-togethers with the incoming president and will not attend inauguration.
But other Republicans have stepped forward in their place. Vice President Mike Pence will be at inauguration and former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura will go to Arlington National Cemetery with the Bidens in the afternoon. — Jennifer Jacobs
