Six House Republicans on Tuesday introduced a resolution to censure President Trump over his role in stoking last week’s violent riots at the U.S. Capitol and efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
These are not just "five guys." They are members of the WI election committee, who is responsible for the state elections. If you carefully read the letter, they explain how the Wisconsin Elections Commission chair illegally certified the results, and the governor illegally forwarded the certification to the US congress.
His top lawyers were threatened out of the suit. Guess you are for doxing anyone who is pro Trump.

OK, what’s the censure going to do and what’s the purpose?
A censure is simply the equivalent of saying “You’ve been a very bad boy!”
That’s what the House did to Charlie Rangel for financial misconduct and ethics violation. What then? Rangel finished his term and still has his full pension benefits.

Then they should have acted post haste:
1) CONVENE IMMEDIATELY TO STOP THE CERTIFICATION
2) If the Election Commission and the Governor refuses to stop the certification, the legislature has the POWER to officially state that they DO NOT recognize the certification.
What these patsies did was ABDICATE their responsibilities and then whine at the last moment.
Funny how the top brass under Trump are all of a sudden turning on him.

I’m sure there is more to the story. We don’t know the threats that went on behind the back of the public.
But still he is added to my growing list of those in public life who missed their moment of greatness. You might even say the purpose for which they were created.

That's why the Republican Party is useless. They don't want to have to deal with the hard stuff, and schluff it off on someone else. I'm sick of voting for a party that sticks the knife in your back, then asks for it back, so they can stick it in your back again down the road. I'm going to enjoy watching all of them getting dumped by the same voter fraud they voted to sanction.
Why did these people wait so damn long? By the time they did anything it was too late.
Yes, they are "just five guys". Five guys out of 99 in an assembly that is Republican by a 60-38 margin. They have ZERO authority to override the certification. The WI legislature could have acted, either before the election to enforce established election law, or after to appoint electors. They didn't.
That closing comment in this article is particularly outrageous.
