I signed up for Gab a couple of days ago, but have been unable to access my new account due to their being overwhelmed with new subscribers.
Clouthub is also a viable option with a quality interface and similar functionality to Zuckerbook’s fascist site, albeit without the fascism.
They say Parlor was on its way to becoming a billion dollar competitor, GAB will fill the breach and make billions.

Yes indeed T1 is a relic, for such a purpose. Still in use though, mainly for small sites on a corporate network, for those that run their own telecom (which is also becoming a relic).
Parler's mistake was trusting AWS to honor their contract.
Keep trying and anticipate a long wait. I signed up two days ago. It took 25 minutes to receive the confirmation email to activate my account. In the mean time Gab.com just sat in my browser trying to refresh.
I don't have a twitter or facebook account to delete, and I am not going to use gab. I hate social media, but I do like the idea that free speech wins and for gab's usership going through the roof. Hopefully, it will put the fear of God into leftists and for that matter most do-nothing, lazy ass, unprincipled Republican pieces of schiff. Yes, I am extra hard on loser Republicans. I hate them more than Democrats now.
Which will Twitter claim? President Trump’s tweets are copy righted by Twitter or the Tweets are Proprietary information of Twitter. Place your bets folks!

It has all the same apps, plus the blacklisted ones like gab and parler. Install the Pure APK installer first and then installing others is quick and easy. No such thing for iPhone though.

600,000 signed up on Sunday alone according to Gab's CEO. Those are incredible numbers. You don't just scale up overnight to handle that kind of volume.
So I expect Gab to be hammered for weeks to come, especially if Parler is not able to come back up for a while.
I would love for Gab to start rivalling Twitter as a social media platform. We have the numbers.

Gab is still using the stupid pepe the frog meme in their branding. That might have been amusing 4 years ago but they don’t seem to be able to grow up. I don’t trust them long term.
That's my concern.
It may take a little longer than they think to get up to speed..but the fact that they’re doing it is what matters!!
I can wait a few more days or a week.
I don’t know Nearly enough about tech to have an idea of how long this should take.
So the question for today, has our new forms of communication become too critical to be handled by private companies? Is it time to Nationalize these forms of communication? Just asking for a friend.......
