Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, admitted in a new interview that he’s been intentionally moving the goal posts on his recommendations regarding herd immunity based on what he thinks the American people are ready to hear.
Herd immunity, or the percentage of a population that acquires resistance to the coronavirus through infection or vaccination, has been widely estimated at roughly 60 to 70 percent for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

I’ll bet that Fauci couldn’t get a passing grade on Statistics 101 for poets, let alone a real set of math capable of doing any realistic modelling of the progress of a virus. (Yup, he might have passed some math a couple of centuries ago, but sorry, he’s a loser now.)
As proof, note that NO ONE has had a good model for Wu Flu transmission/etc as of yet. Extant models are in the “climate change” class - meaning they are so far off that they appear to be written to solve an un-imagined problem.

THAT is why the goal posts have been moving. If he had told the truth from the beginning of his intentions, there would have been a rebellion, a complete rejection of his destructive policies.
That is why “two weeks to flatten the curve” became ‘two months to flatten the curve’, to ‘nine months to flatten the curve’, and soon will be ‘two years to flatten the curve’.
