The Troth defines itself as a religious organization of Germanic Heathenry open to all the forms of the religion (Asatru, Urglaawe, Forn Sed, Theodism, and others)

I suspect this has more to do with being official recognized as a church to gain a property tax exemption. Their vision is a bit short sighted, blue eyes will stand the test of time but blond hair doesn’t age well.
