The moment is one that many historians believe helped launch the desegregation movement in the US. Now, Johns -- who died in 1991 -- will be memorialized at the US Capitol, replacing Virginia's statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

This is Cultural Marxism.
Cultural Marxism is actually a thing.
These incidents are not random. They are by design.
What more Americans have to do is see who and what are behind those executing a plan according to cultural Marxist design. There are names and there are funds.
Americans can’t easily see who and what are behind the attacks on its culture because prevalent American news presenters are controlled by ultimately by those using Cultural Marxism.
Those using Cultural Marxism are not necessarily Marxists. But they will use Marxists or Marxist actions to carry out their goal of weakening American values, rewriting its history, shaming its citizenry.
The good news to come will be when Americans are made fully aware of who is behind this and what their intentions are. Americans can reverse all that has been thrown on them. It will likely take a half generation to complete. It will get underway during Trump’s 2nd term in office. It’s already started with the 1776 Project.
Don’t give the Rats any ideas.

I have very mixed feelings about this. Robert E. Lee was a good and honorable man. No doubt about that. But as ifinnegan noted, Lee can fairly be called a traitor to his country.
Now here’s where it gets complicated. Is Lee’s statue being removed because of his “traitorous” activities? No. Is it being removed after a hard look at the historical facts? No.
It is being removed as part of a general Stalinist purge. And Stalinist purges are never good. Lee today. Washington tomorrow. And Lincoln the day after that.
Just like Stalin did. Erase history.
i’ll remember your words when you speak out against the Biden/Harris regime. If Lee was a traitor, than so were Washington, Franklin and Jefferson. The North has tried to impose their will on the rest of us since day 1... in 1861, the South got sick of their tyrannical BS. Robert E Lee was a traitor against the United States and should just be a footnote in history and maybe a corner in a museum.
I guess it is too obvious to pick someone people have heard of! This is like how Google selects people to be commemorated in the Doodles - when in doubt, pick someone of little importance, that no one ever heard of, who is non-white male.

No more so than 1/3 the population of the USA, and he did go on to try to unify the country. I’m not a fan of his, and he wasn’t nearly as good as some claim. None of us are. But he was the embodiment of what a huge portion of the US population believed and, after losing, was a unifying figure.
The only reason to have him stop representing Virginia is that modern Virginia doesn’t have 1/10th the integrity of Lee.
PS: He also was not 1/100th as bad as many modern people claim. Same with Jefferson and many others who owned slaves in the early 1800s.
The commies are in control of the gov and almost all the institutions. I’m not mixed up at all. There is a DUTY to rebel against tyranny. Lee, et al. were patriots in a way you obviously cannot comprehend. Even this exchange ‘twixt you and I show the cultural fissures that exist in this country and why divorce is better than another toxic ‘domestic violence episode’ similar to 1861.

Holy cow, was that in 1992?!?! Seems like yesterday. I remember that day too. White kids in “diverse” high schools breathed a sigh of relief, while stories of blacks kids wreaking havoc in and around local movie theaters spread like wildfire.

Lee rebelled against the tyrants of the North and rightfully so. Busy body Northerners have been attempting to impose their will on others for over 400 years. They are doing so more than ever today.
In the end, the northern communists won’t prevail.
I remember a top district in NJ did that with Trenton, they would accept some students from Trenton at something like 30K per student, which was a really good deal for the suburban school (on paper). They were suppose send students of academic character, but Trenton sent Ghetto trash misfits they didn’t want to deal with anymore, after these drug dealing scum destroyed the schools the board ended that relationship.
I remember how the media called the “racist” for ending it, but it was all about academics. Now if they sent who they promised it probably would have worked. But it was just a way for Trenton to get ride of trash they didn’t want to deal with themselves.
