After the war ended, the entire Southern Army was given amnesty. It was time to heal the wounds and reunite the country....but the question remains in my mind....was the price too high?

Exactly. I am a Southerner and I hold no animosity for the history of our nation. When I was born, it was a great nation regardless of her history. I accept it as it is and find it to be a great nation, one that I can support.

I also do not hold animosity towards the USA since we were mainly British in 1775. That, too, would be silly.

Second guessing history is for the low IQ savages.
