Millions of Americans who qualify for coronavirus relief funds could see payments as soon as next week, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Monday.

“The good news is this is a very, very fast way of getting money into the economy. Let me emphasize: People are going to see this money at the beginning of next week,” he said on CNBC.

Mnuchin encouraged people who receive the payments — which could be as much as $600 — to spend the money and give the economy a much-needed boost.

One day I am going to wake up and this country is going to be dead broke like the Soviet Union.

Big f’n deal. $600. They’re sending out a fraction of what businesses have lost and now continue to lose as “Scamdemic” part dos gets under way. Open up. That’s the answer. And the dems know it.

Are you awake now? Because 32% of all dollars in existence have been printed in he last 12 months.

We ARE broke. And this is just an absurdity.

They would have been better off declaring a debt jubilee; no charging of interest and no payments due on any debt for three months.

With this stupid stimulus, a family of four will not get enough to prevent them form eviction. Whereas, if the jubilee were called the rent would simply hold for a month—and the landlord would not get get screwed because THEIR debts would be paused as well.

Now we just go deeper into debt.

The $ printing presses stood waiting for the Treasury to just get the go-ahead from Congress. Along with the printing of “checks” was the printing of all the new debt our children, grand children and great grand children will owe.

That's right! Buy guns, ammo, and/or reloading components - if you can find any of those things!

I've been looking at oddball calibers to see what's available, and I've found that you can still get some stuff in 6.5x55 ("6.5 Swedemoor"). Also, muzzleloading items are still somewhat available.

What a bunch of goofy idiots.

The whole idea is goofy but did you see the junk in the bill?

Stuff like:

$135 million to Burma
$85.5 million to Cambodia
$1.4 billion for “Asia Reassurance Initiative Act”
$130 million to Nepal
$453 million to Ukraine

Wonder what else is in there....

I’ll do the same thing with this one that I did with the last one.

Put it in the bank and use it to offset some of my income tax bill in April.

It used to be “you break it, you pay for it.”

Now it seems to be, “you break it, you pay for a tiny fraction of it 6 months later. And you better stay broken.”
