This will be the same fate of any Investigation of the Biden family corruption, once he occupies the White House.

Editorial | Sudden death for Madigan probe

The Editorial Board 12/18/2020

The curtain has come down on an ill-fated special investigating committee in the Illinois House.

Democratic Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan needs all the good publicity — in this case, that’s defined as the absence of bad publicity — he can get.

So it was good news for him when Democrats on the special House committee created to investigate allegedly unethical behavior by Madigan this week pulled the plug on the probe.

Republicans, of course, howled about the unfairness of it all. They complained bitterly that the committee met just three times and hadn’t had much of a chance to do anything. But Democrats said there’s nothing to see, and it’s time to move on.

Actually, there’s plenty to see, as the grand-jury indictments in the massive Commonwealth Edison bribery scandal reveal. But there was nothing this hyper-partisan committee made up of three Democrats and three Republicans was going to discover, because crucial witnesses would simply cite their constitutional rights and refuse to testify.

If that wasn’t enough, the 3-3 partisan divide prevents the committee from taking action.

So, the Democrats steal and other Democrats cover for them?

Isn’t that all against the law?

When you start looking the other way about somebody’s criminal actions, that emboldens them to do really bad things.

Things are different here in Ohio when a Speaker commits crimes.

Madigan had his daughter as Illinois AG for quite some time, which provided the ultimate protection from prosecution, but she left the office in 2019, and hasn’t been much in public since.

BAILEY STATEMENT ON MADIGAN INVESTIGATION

(12/17/20)rp

Illinois State Rep. Darren Bailey has released this statement after the sudden adjournment of the House Special Investigating Committee:

Influence peddling and corrupt practices by ‘Public Official A’ (everyone knows is Speaker Michael J. Madigan) and his allies is not acceptable! The Democrat members who have refused to call Speaker Madigan and others to investigate the evidence made public by federal prosecutors, are looking like ‘accomplices after the fact’ as legal people would say.

I call it enabling to allow this kind of activity to go un-investigated thoroughly by the House Special Investigating Committee. They are enabling Mike Madigan to continue to do business as usual in Illinois when the evidence shows there is a corrupt pattern over nearly a decade in the ComEd bribery case.

Even Democrat Gov. Pritzker has said that Speaker Madigan needs to come forward and explain his actions in this bribery scheme. The growing number of House members who see that this is a dire situation is up to nineteen. They seem to understand the bigger picture of control by their party and have said publicly that they cannot support Madigan for Speaker again. This Special Investigating Committee needs to reconvene and subpoena Mike Madigan to explain his role and knowledge of the bribery scheme.

Are we sure that Speaker Madigan isn’t a socialist?

I thought all Democrat politicians are socialists who long to pull turnips at Turnip Commune #34?

Could it be that Democrat politicians aren’t really socialists, but are actually just dirty thieves?

If that wasn’t enough, the 3-3 partisan divide prevents the committee from taking action.

Political Omerta.

It happens in Congress all the time. Parties turn a blind eye to the crimes committed by their own side, effectively admitting to being accomplices after the fact.

Any and ALL Republicans elected in Illinois are RINOs.

Just keeping their seats warm for total replacement by Democrats.

More up front right in your face corruption from the RATs. The worst part of it is that the average RAT voter is perfectly fine with the corruption. These criminals will never suffer penalties.

Only a moral people can be free. We can blame politicians but the average citizen has been encouraged to be corrupt by their political, educational and spiritual supposed leaders. It’s the society itself that is sick and on the downward spiral.

A sane society would have eliminated these scum years and years ago. It would never send it’s sons to defend a nation of child molesters (Afghanistan). It would never have accepted pervert marriage, Federal welfare programs and the recent massive voter fraud would never have occurred.
