No, its a nice resignation letter that means he was not fired.

My guess is he was not going to be a party to whatever Trump is doing, buy he wasn’t going to “bitch about it” either.

Just a, “I will be moving along now” type of resignation.

I would believe that this was not a secret to Trump.

Tom Fotton says Rosen is a Barr hire. So more of the same.

With just a month left, and both houses of Congress out of town, what effect could Rosen have?

Wondering the same....what do we know about Rosen?

Senior Partner at Kirkland and Ellis. Ugh.

Can POTUS appoint an interim AG who will actually do something? Like appoint Special Prosecutors on Election Fraud and the Bidens, like Steve just said?

I think Barr was probably well intentioned but like many others, he wanted the love and praise of his enemies. Thus he refused to do anything that made it look like he might actually be supporting Trump.

Contrast that with Eric Holder...who was nothing but an attack dog.

But Trump is an honorable man, too honorable probably and wanted to make his AG seem beyond reproach and not somebody favoring Trump. And that was probably why he picked Barr.

I think that’s why he picked a lot of the losers he picked.

How many of those commies on the House Judiciary Committee who refused to let Barr speak when he testified in July, will now be attacking President Trump for firing him?

One weakness I see in Trump is that he’s not the greatest when it comes to hiring the RIGHT people.

1. For the first time in his life, Trump wasn't the boss. He had to answer to a "board of directors" (i.e., the U.S. Senate) for every one of his key appointments.

2. As a political outsider, Trump had no circle of close associates who had any interest in wasting their time and energy working for the U.S. government. In fact, some of his long-time associates who DID want to work in his administration were disloyal, untrustworthy people if not outright criminals. I'll offer Michael Cohen as a perfect example of this.

Maybe dominos are starting to fall? maybe he “just couldn’t do it” and wanted to not be in charge so the next guy could pull the trigger?

“””Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General.”””

What do we know about Rosen or Donoghue?

Any reason to have ‘high hopes’?

Trump should have fired Barr after Epstein died in Barr’s custody.

In fact it was inexcusable for Trump not to show public OUTRAGE that the feds let Epstein die in their custody.

I think you’re real close to the bullseye. The paychecks weren’t bad, either. Plus it fattened up his pension a little. And he got some pretty cushy speech gigs, too. Did he get paid for them? Notre Dame and others?
