Hillary Clinton Calls to ‘Abolish the Electoral College’ After Casting Electoral Vote for Joe Biden

Former Trump challenger Hillary Clinton called to “abolish the Electoral College” on Monday after she, an elector, cast a vote for Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA).

Electors across the country are meeting to cast their votes for the next President of the United States, formalizing the results of their respective states. Clinton, one of New York’s electors, posted a picture celebrating the fact that she cast her vote for Biden and Harris, though she also used the opportunity to call for the abolishment of the Electoral College.

No problem, Hillary. Just get 2/3rds of the House and 2/3rds of the Senate to send a Constitutional Amendment to the states for ratification. Then get 38 states to agree to let California and New York to decide future elections. I realize that I’m addressing this to the most qualified and accomplished person (except for perhaps Joe Biden) to ever seek the office of President.

If Hillary got her way and the popular vote was supreme, and then in in 2024 it turns out that a massive conversion of demographics occurred and republicans won the popular vote, I guarantee you that she would be suing to get the electoral college re-instated retroactively.

As a historical matter, the 14th Amendment provides that State officials who have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States or given aid and comfort to its enemies are disqualified from serving as electors

Hillary Clinton and all the democrats will call for doing away with the electoral college, a bit of foresight of the Founding Fathers, because the democrats are going to lose this battle. With all their cheating, they still could not pull off a win for Biden.
