I would say adequate to the job at best.

The man needs more range time.

He should have been aiming for center mass. If he was, he hit at least 10 inches high.

At the distance he was likely to shooting, I would say that adequate is the best rating I can give the shot.

Granted this is a young man in an intense situation. But that is why we practice.

I do give him credit for firing only one shot. The man went down and he stopped firing. Presence of mind and threat assessment. Good job. Some cops don’t do as well.

There was a case around here years ago where a man’s weapon was taken by the cops, after a similar incident, to be checked out. Apparently it was a really nice, expensive one, I don’t recall what.

After a long while he wanted his gun back and they had ‘lost’ it somehow....................
