It’s Philly, so there’s a chance he didn’t have a permit for the handgun (even though you really shouldn’t need one). Not likely to get charged with a crime in a situation like this, but the police will confiscate the gun.

The 53 year old, was just robbing the place. The 27 year old should be charged with murder. /sarc (BLM rationale)

There was a black female who was interviewed just after her brother was shot and killed. The above was how she explained why it was criminal for her brother to be dead. It made sense to her. Obviously, there is some expectation that whatever they (the robber) want should be given to them (the robber), and to deny catches them (the robber) by surprise.

A happy ending in Philly, no less.

Perhaps it's an omen?

“We do have his weapon.

1) A $500 glock is a lot easier to lose than a $2500 Les Baer custom.

2) You should own more than one carry pistol.

May God have mercy on the soul of the would-be robber.

Good shooting, Citizen.

Then, the remedy is to shoot the lawyer bringing the lawsuit.

For the discouragement of others

That section of the story gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. It's better than a Hallmark movie.

It couldn't have been a Hallmark movie. No homos!

Philly cops take the gun. verify ballistics and them trash the gun, then give it back inoperable.

"The customer, who was also a victim because he had the gun pointed at him, remained on the scene, did cooperate with police," Small said, according to KYW-TV. "We do have his weapon. We know that just one shot was fired from that customer."

In other words, he did their job for him and they rewarded him by disarming him. Nice job guys.
