Does Dr. Fauci Realize That Millions Already Gave His Thanksgiving Advice the Middle Finger?
Townhall ^ | 11/27/2020 | Matt Vespa

Posted on 11/27/2020 8:22:55 AM PST by SeekAndFind

You’ve seen the photos. Airports are packed. Millions have traveled for the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s not nearly as bad as last year, a sign that there are Americans staying put—but did the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the rest of the COVID Nazis think that America was not going to celebrate Thanksgiving? I mean, Fauci again went on Good Morning America Wednesday to give one last piece of advice:

Dr. Anthony Fauci speaks to our @GStephanopoulos about small gatherings ahead of Thanksgiving and a possible surge in coronavirus cases.

“A sacrifice now could save lives and illness and make the future much brighter.”
https://t.co/SEXsR3iVRD pic.twitter.com/gXApIxwgFT— Good Morning America (@GMA) November 25, 2020

Well, the final message is to do what we’ve been saying for some time. Keep the indoor gatherings as small as you possibly can. We all know how difficult that is because this is such a beautiful, traditional holiday. But by making that sacrifice, you’re going to prevent people from getting infected.”

Okay, well, George Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton political operative, repeated Chinese propaganda right there. China, by far, has the highest caseload and death rate. It’s where this virus originated. They brought in incinerators into Wuhan at the outset, which we all know weren’t used to destroy trash. So, enough with this ‘US is the worst hit by COVID’ crap. It’s not. Second, the era of the expert is done. No one is listening. If Trump was never elected, or if COVID hit in 2017, we would have had a much more rational approach to this virus. Instead, the liberal media and the Democrats weaponized it, locked down the states they control without the proper vetting of the data and led to the destruction of countless businesses…for nothing. Everything has changed. The recommendations on masks and the warnings of contact through surfaces has all changed. The r-naught figure has changed. The mortality rate changed.

Aerosolization—remember that—vanished from the public discussion as well. When dealing with a country’s economy, it is a numbers game. Public policy is just that—crunching numbers. It’s a cold process. Public policy is a cruel mistress and even with our current death rate, it never warranted the lockdowns. Most of the people who have died were those already at risk of dying from countless other pathogens. In short, the vast majority of the deaths remain within the at-risk community and those who have suffered a history of health problems, specifically in the respiratory system. Those populations were put into a shooting gallery when Democratic governors forced nursing homes to accept COVID patients. I don’t care if it’s the stomach flu. You do not put sick people, no matter what they have, in such a location, especially those infected with a virus for which we have no vaccine. This isn’t hard. But Democrats control some very powerful states. They shut down and others will follow suit because no governer wants to look reckless or inactive, especially facing a vicious anti-Trump media complex. The plan to inflict pain, jack up the death rate and blame the president. All of this while the same Democrats have ignored the rules. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, his royal highness, was caught eating out without a mask. He got confronted by some angry bystanders—and rightfully so.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom shut down the state again and then absconded to Napa Valley with his wife for a fancy dinner, inside, no masks, no social distancing, and with medical doctors in attendance. One has to wonder…is this COVID thing being overblown, especially when it comes to the larger healthy population? That’s why people are giving the finger to Fauci and the COVID Nazi regime. Also, studies from Europe are now showing that mask-wearing has a negligible effect with regards to curbing the spread, so what is going on? Maybe, just maybe, before the urban-based professional elites, who have the ability to work from home, set about an agenda that destroys the livelihoods of the vast majority of workers who cannot—they should, you know, go through the data.

But that’s asking a lot of Democrats since they have no souls. They wanted rural America and those not like them to suffer. Period. You’re never going to convince me otherwise, and they know it as well.

“We’re in this together” is always a lie.

Sorry, Fauci, your time is up. people cannot take you or this virus seriously when they’re not doing the same because, maybe, it’s simply not that big of a deal. Is it real? Is it contagious? Yes, and yes, but the media acts like COVID a) is some super Ebola pathogen; it’s not, and b) no other virus has ever come into existence.

Look, if you’re traveling, be as safe as possible. For healthy folks, if you get it, you’re probably not going to die from it, but who wants to get sick?

At least Democrats didn’t cheat in Ohio and Trump had won the election there so I guess I’ll give DeWine little credit, whether he deserves it or not.

I had to hold my nose to vote for him because his opponent was so bad. I really doubt if he'll run again.

FaUci

And then there’s “The Scarf Lady” Deborah Birx. She went to Utah and North Dakota and called for restrictions and the governors there took action days after her visits.

DeWhine’s gestapo are a special unit of the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation out raiding restaurants and bars looking for people ordering drinks after 9:30 pm, consuming drinks after 10 pm, responding to neighbors ratting out neighbors for large gatherings, checking out weddings and funerals, social distancing violations at churches, large non-protest gatherings and, (gasp) dancing where ever it occurs...

One of our relatives ordered turkey delivered to her home and was asked if she’d allow reasonable substitutions in the groceries. She said yes. Instead of a 3-5 pound turkey for one, they dropped off a 20 pound turkey ... because they were out of smaller ones.

You know- i was thinking the other day- Many Americans, or even other people in other nations, aren’t going to know what to do or how to act when the ‘all clear’ is given for the virus-

They will be like people gettign out of prison- or hostages being released (probably the better analogy) they will not be sure how to act- how to interact with others- they will feel intimidated by everything really- Many of the busy body Karens might even need counselling in order to get back to normal

Many of them will have post traumatic stress disorder, and will go into flash back shock whenever someone around them sneezes, or coughs, or has a runny nose

It’s very very sad what America has become under the terrorizing by the socialists in power- Americans are turning in other Americans- JUST LIKE The Germans did under Nazi orders

It’s sick- it is NOT the America I grew up in that’s for sure- Ever since the last president came along and shoved his socialist agenda on everyone- destroying everything, he emboldened liberal pukes to become domestic terrorists- Antifa, blm- these are products of HIS agenda after he stoked the flames of racism time and time again during his run as dictator

Now liberals got their noses in everyone elses business- stirring up crap, making life miserable for those hwo aren’t liberal/socialist (There are still some fairly decent liberals who don’t go down hte socialist path- at least not as radical as today’s far left)

We have a strict lockdown back in place in Washington State. Yesterday, I smoked a 24 pound turkey and we had a large Thanksgiving get together. Neighbors walked by our house last night and stopped, gawked, stared at us and appeared to be trying to figure out how many were at our gathering. My wife waved at them. They turned and walked away in disgust... like it was any business of theirs. It is hard to believe that it has come to this over a glorified cold virus that with all these new hypersensitive tests now is demonstrably less deadly than most flu strains. But of course it has been political almost from day 1.

Get a Sous Vide machine, you can cook the turkey to perfect temp throughout the whole turkey or chicken or whatever you’re cooking- you set the temperature-

then take the bird out and deep fry it or smoke it to the crispness you want (Note- you might want to Sous Vide a little elow ‘safe temperature’ (more o n that i n a second) Because the frying or smoking it will raise the temp more of course- but you won’t be frying long, just enough to infuse turkey with hte oil and crisp it, or smoking to get the smoke flavor into hte meat- this will of course take a little longer- but you’ll be doing it on a fully cooked safe bird-

Smoking may be a little more difficult though- hard to judge when enough smoke has been infused, you don’t want to over cook it in smoker- will dry it out-

Did you know you can safely eat chicken at 130f?

Making food safe is a process that includes 2 things- TIME + TEMPERATURE-

The recommended 165 ‘safe temp’ for say chicken, is 1 second at that temp- As soon as it reaches that temp- it’s ‘safe’

however, if you want less cooked chicken to be safe, you hold it at a certain temp for a length of time- can’t remember now, but it’s around 15 minutes i believe for like 135 (Might be longer- can’t remember- there is a culinary food chart that shows TIME + TEMP for certain foods

I personally wouldn’t eat chicken below 165 though- just can’t get my mind around the old habit and into the new guidelines- I’m too chicken about it lol- that and pork- Now steaks, that’s another matter-

I have been smoking turkeys for many, many years. We have tried other methods, but our family has not been impressed. Turkey is a bland meat... smoking it makes it so much better. The smoked flavor makes it taste much better the next day as well, when most turkey is already starting to get that day old turkey flavor.

we don’t do smoked meats- family has never been a fan- so i haven’t tried the sous vide then smoking it- but i think it would be hard to judge how long to smoke it after- probably wouldn’t give it enough smoke flavor for a short time-

the one thing about souse vide is it creates very moist meat because of how it cooks- but then folks will take it out and roast it or fry it to top it off, and that can make it a bit less moist- but not too bad- I did try sous vide chicken once but you gotta hit the ‘magic temp’ for moistness, where it’s not mushy, but still moist and not dry-

I never really cared for the deep fryer turkeys- tried it a few times- (thankfully was cooked by someone who knew how to cook with that method- always heard horror stories about that method-) It was ok- but i still prefer in the end the roasted turkey best i guess-

Wish i did like smoked meats though, as we’re in area that sells a lot of it- oh well-

Be glad you’re not in Oregon. Our governatrix here mandated that neighbors call the police if they observe more than six people at any Thanksgiving gathering. Of course, she (Kate Brown), your guy Inslee, and the odious Californian Gavin Gruesome are all in lockstep with each other, so don’t be surprised if Inslee doesn’t institute that as a mandate at Christmas.

The flavor of a turkey smoked at home has very little in common with commercially smoked meats. The smoke flavor is much subtle. We like to use apple wood but this year I had only hickory chips and pellets. I try to keep it very smokey for the first 4 hours after that it does not matter that much.

I was worried because the turkey was 24 pounds and we always stuff them which is quite large for smoking. I ran the smoker at the hottest temperature that we can maintain with it which I determine by using an oven thermometer at about 275*F. I put it in early but reached 140*F from a probe stuck all the way into the internal cavity. It reached 165*F two hours before our guests arrived. I sealed the turkey in foil and turned the heat down, but unfortunately it reached 175*F. I was concerned that it would be dried out, but although it was not the best that I have ever done, it was still fairly moist and the meat was easy to slice. When I cleaned the carcass after the feast, the meat all pulled off very easily.

Thank you for your suggestions... always good to hear what works for others. At the fire station the last year I worked the other guys tried to fry a huge turkey and it was a disaster. I assumed that they knew what they were doing but sadly not one of them had a clue. They had not properly thawed the turkey before immersing it in the oil.
