WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will leave the White House if the Electoral College formalizes President-Elect Joe Biden’s victory — even as he insisted such a decision would be a “mistake” — as he spent his Thanksgiving renewing baseless claims that “massive fraud” and crooked officials in battleground states caused his election defeat.
“Certainly I will. But you know that,” Trump said Thursday when asked whether he would vacate the building, allowing a peaceful transition of power in January. But Trump — taking questions for the first time since Election Day — insisted that “a lot of things” would happen between now and then that might alter the results.

Your description of them is entirely too kind.
This is the best way to position himself prior to the inevitable victory.
JEEZE hate to be in Fox hole with YOU waving your white flag!!! Very disappointed to see MANY on this site accept a stolen election hope you enjoy living in Venezuela soon!! The citizens there also DID NOTHING when their election was stolen, they waved their white flags and accepted a STOLEN election!!! BIDEN WILL NEVER BE POTUS!!!
Has the AP referred to any of the charges leveled by the Democrats against Trump over the last four years as baseless?
Not to be a wise ass, but you also predicted Hillary to be the Dem nominee.
This is far from over.
He makes Trump look like a beggar.
Yep
Defeatism is not a conservative value and not part of traditional American philosophy
But it’s now rampant on this site
Memo to defeatists: drop dead
Nor would he win if the Supremes punt the case to the House. I keep forgetting about that option.
Thank God it's "one vote for each state, period", and that those 50 votes have to be cast according to which party controls that state. IIRC, isn't the house something like 36-14 Republican-controlled, and the Senate is 26-24 or 27-23 Republican-controlled?
I watched the video of this discussion after I read the article, and was struck by how the sentiment, the flavor, of Trump’s comments did not line up with the headline. But I have been observing that for four years regarding Trump. His comments were not nearly as bleak as the headlines suggested. But certainly, what else would he say.
Allowed Biden “transition team” where?
He allowed Biden to receive intelligence briefings, same as Kamala Harris is getting already as member of the Senate Judicial Committee, and given permission to that government lady to talk to the Biden staff. The lady made it clear she does not decide who is president.
It's over.
Yeah..Is that why Trump's legal team just won two big cases in Nevada and PA just yesterday and are vigorously perusing the overturning of the fraudulent results for Biden in Nevada, PA, MI and WI /sarc.
“...he spent his Thanksgiving renewing baseless claims...”
If this were an editorial, I guess saying the claims are baseless would sort of be OK, that and putting ‘massive fraud’ in scare quotes. But if this is supposed to be a news article then AP really does stand for American Pravda.
The entire article is the usual fake news from the American Pravda.
They put in what they want to happen rather than what was actually said.
Well I certainly hope he would. Otherwise we are in guaranteed big trouble.
As for the AP sticking in adjectives such as “baseless”, they just prove what we’ve know for years. This is exactly what we mean by biased media. Slipping in Adjectives where they should not be.
Speak for yourself.....
I usually wait 3 days for the "BOOM!" from President Trump after a statement.
That's insane! I'm ROFLMAO!

VIDEO: 7min: 26 Nov: Sky News Australia: Trump should ‘continue legal fight’ because there is ‘industrial scale fraud’ - Alan Jones Show
Eminent law professor David Flint says President Donald Trump should continue his legal fight for as long as he can because not only is there industrial scale voter fraud at hand, but also the question of unequal protection of voters.
“It’s not just fraud, and the fraud is not just self-evident, it would be self-evident to a rookie journalist,” Professor Flint told Sky News host Alan Jones.
“I can’t understand why journalists are throwing around the word ‘unsubstantiated’ when they didn’t in relation to the many charges made against President Trump.” Professor Flint said there is “not only fraud – which is on an industrial scale” but there is also the question of “unequal protection, and that is that voters are being treated differently”.
“There’s been a lot of unlawful changes to the electoral laws, the power to change the laws is vested in the state legislators and it’s often forgotten that they have a primary role,” he said.
“But governors and secretaries of state have tried to change the laws, it’s ineffective.”
