Florida Sen. Rick Scott has tested positive for COVID-19, he said Friday, as he advised Americans to “wear a mask.”
The GOP lawmaker said he was diagnosed with the bug Friday morning after several negative tests.
“I’m feeling good & experiencing very mild symptoms,” he tweeted. “I’ll be working from home until it’s safe for me to return to DC. I remind everyone to be careful & do the right things to protect yourselves & others.”

Nobody’s talking about flu deaths. Most of the time there are tens of thousands of deaths each year.

Exactly. And I think a LOT of those early deaths were caused by the ventilators.
When I tested positive I got no such headline. The subsequent mild head cold was also lame.
The “tests” have an approximately 90% false positive rate built into them. Their only real value is as a propaganda tool. And “masks” people are actually wearing have proven themselves to be less than worthless. Our good friend who wore her mask even alone in her car and home gave herself a near fatal case of pneumonia. Her obsessive mask wearing earned her a semi-permanent stay in a nursing home while her lungs recover from the damage all the oxygen therapy did to her lungs.
Her doctors speculated that the constantly worn masks contminated with bacteria and viral particles her body was trying to expell with every breath turned into petri dishes teaming with hostile pathogens that eventually reached a level tht overwhelmed her compromised immune system.
It looked like we were going to lose her for awhile, she is now living in a special isolation room at a nuring home. She is allowed no direct contact even with her husband... think of the bubble boy. And she is not allowed to wear a mask.
Without question the COVID lockdown expedited her deterioration...then she caught it anyways.
I am going to be fine because I exercise 30 minutes EVERY DAY on treadmill set at 23 min/mile speed and 2 degrees up-slope.
The key is being healthy to avoid covid-19 death or serious symptoms. I feel so athletic from daily exercise, I am thinking of joining a class to learn ballet. More energy now than when I retired at age 57 from full time jobs.
Are we to presume Sen Scott tested positive for Covid because the people around him were not wearing masks? What was he doing around people not following CDC guidelines?
Yet, here we are.

ANd so sorry you lost your aunt. I agree lockdowns did not save her and caused misery to thousands who lost their incomes.

I believe entirely what you said. Our bodies have survived millions of years living in the jungle. It is because our bodies have learned to fight viruses and bacterial invasions, and in that process develop immunity from future sickness from same species.
The whole trick to avoiding death from covid-19 is to stay healthy, get proper nutrition, and exercise. Our human ancestors walked miles everyday to find food. They never had a refrigerator stocked with food. Genes do not change in 5000 years. Those 100 million year old genes dictate how we shall live.

LOL sad but true. People are dying WITH covid. 99.5% of them because of 2 or more existing health issues or very old age. They had one foot in the grave already.
But younger than 60 and healthy people should NOT be locked down.
It makes perfect sense actually. Not all people who get influenza die from it. Influenza kills from babies up to very old people. It all depends on your bodies ability to fight and kill the virus. All people have different abilities.

We learned that that sort of thing was actually happening. Corpses of people who died in motorcycle crashes were tested and found sometimes to test positive for CV19 and were listed as CV19 deaths. Even the CDC admitted that only 6% of their reported CV19 deaths did not include at least 2 comorbidities. It’s why I don’t trust the death figures.
And, of course, the case numbers are even more meaningless. I know what a death is, but what is a “case”, anyway?
If they admit they have or had it and wear masks, it cuts into the narrative that masks prevent it 100%.
Another case of COVID-19. So what? On the positive side, common cold and common flu have been eradicated by COVID-19. All tests point to COVID-19. Silver lining to that there COVID-19 cloud.
It makes perfect sense when you understand this was never about public health.
