This will be where the rubber meets the road. We’ll see what the new SCOTUS is about.
Waiting...
Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day. It’s not two weeks from now, or next month. It’s TUESDAY.
About time.
“Trump is leading in North Carolina by 3 points in the latest poll ”
Excellent news! If the polls are showing Trump is up by 3 points, the reality is that Trump is up by 7 to 10 points.
Bring on ACB
5-4 conservative, not 6-3
Why didnt they mail their ballots in a week or two ago?
What is frustrating is not knowing what procedure the SC will follow. Does Roberts alone get to decide? Does Roberts decide if the SC as a whole review it? Finally, why, why, why isn’t such needed background included within these stories?
I agree, every time I hear that 6-3 I’m like “nope it’s 5-4)
I just voted straight R in central NC about 3 hours ago. MY wife did the same last week.
Im in a blue collar area, and everyone I saw come in to early vote had sample GOP ballots in hand.
One guy tried to vote behind me, and the lady said he had to re-register because he hadn’t voted in the last three elections....so he did re-register. He also had a sample GOP ballet in hand.
Was Roberts ever conservative? Seems like every time a new conservative Justice is added, one of the previously conservative judges moves left and keeps the balance of the court from ever going right. Is it the allure of being the breathlessly-courted swing vote?
Exactly
it is now 5-4 not 6-3.
Half expecting ol’ compromised Chief “Justice” Roberts to attempt to “override” the majority opinion.
More correctly, it is 5-3 with one that can vary.
While Roberts has voted against conservative wishes on a number of cases, in the main he has ruled with the conservatives
Both sides have pushed for early voting and mail in voting. Changing the rules after the game has started...is a foul! Rules are put there to stop any, in this case...political shenanigans.
mediass lies continually
we do not have a 6-3 court
we now have a 5-4 court
Four justices have to agree to hear the case.
