PARIS - France has expelled a Bosnian family who had beaten and shaved the hair of an adolescent girl who wanted to marry a young Serbian man, the interior ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said five members of the girl’s family in the eastern city of Besancon had been deported to Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Saturday morning.
“This expulsion from the national territory is the consequence of unacceptable behaviour on the part of the family in August, notably beatings and the shaving of an adolescent girl who was in love with a young Serbian man of another religion,” the ministry said.
It added that the girl, a minor, will be taken care of by social services and will obtain the right of residence in France when she reaches majority.
French media reported in August that a 17-year old Bosnian Muslim woman in Besancon had been beaten by her family and her hair had been forcefully shaved off because she wanted to marry a 20-year old Serbian Christian.

It’s a good thing they let the girl remain in France. The next shave by the muzzies would probably be a little lower on her head...probably around neck level.

We have all seen the wwii pictures of shaving the heads of women who collaborated with the Nazi’s. I suspect it is an emotional trigger for the French.

Disrupting romantic love particularly offends French sensibilities.
If they burn the banlieues of Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral, go on a shooting spree in a night club or Jewish deli, or butcher a Priest on the altar; much tut-tutting will occur, and a slow moving legal process might ensue. But an offense against l’amour, and they are on the next plane out of the country.
It reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons, where young Bart goes to France as an exchange student, but is instead worked like a slave by his hosts in a vineyard. When he finally escapes, he tells an obviously bored and disinterested gendarme that he has been kidnapped, beaten and starved, to no effect.
But when he inadvertently mentions that one of his laborious tasks has been to cut the wine being produced with additives, the gendarme is suddenly shocked into action, exclaiming “This is quite serious”!
Why bring up the hair thing? It’s like bringing up that they cussed at her. You think that boy doesn’t love her more as a baldy suffering for him? Silly point.
Not all moslems practice female genital mutilation.
I’m glad this young lady survived her ordeal. Her sisters in similar situations aren’t always so fortunate.
France and Europe did it to themselves (and so are we).
