RASSMUSSEN: Florida: Trump 49%, Biden 46%
Rassmussen Reports ^ | October 23, 2020 | Rassmussen Reports

Posted on 10/23/2020 7:33:05 AM PDT by hcmama

President Trump holds a three-point lead over Democrat Joe Biden in Florida, a state that’s critical to whether or not the president is reelected.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Voters in Florida finds Trump beating Biden 49% to 46%. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and another three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Factor in those who haven’t made up their minds yet but are leaning toward one candidate or the other, and Trump gains another point, besting Biden 50% to 46%.

I’ll say if Trump just takes Florida, it’s game over for the Dems.

Amazing how the polls start telling the truth near election time.

They didn’t really in 2016. Dems thought they had it in the bag up until election night.

Undecideds usually stay home or break for the incumbent.

Actually, undecideds usually break for the challenger.

That said, Trump is credibly running as the anti-Establishment candidate, and Biden is willing to stake out a return to Obama-Biden.

I have a question to those who have been involved in the inner workings of elections.

What if someone votes by mail, and then, while their mailed ballot is still en route, votes at a polling place? Their voter roll at the polling location will show that they haven’t yet voted, but their ballot may arrive the next day.

Which ballot gets counted, if this even gets caught?

Do those numbers factor in the Demofraud?

It will go up for Trump, down for Biden.

I usually say that the first big 2 competitive states are PA, OH, and FL. Republicans need to take 2 of 3 to have a chance to win nationally. If a Republican sweeps all 3, its almost a lead pipe cinch that they will win. Trump is the first Republican to accomplish that in a long time.

Pennsylvania and Arizona are the only “battleground” states left.

Starting to feel that way to me. After Looking at Schweikart’s FL numbers for the last two days on Twitter, if they are even somewhat close to what he is reporting I don’t see how Biden has any shot at Florida. I’m remembering that outlier poll a few weeks ago stating that Florida was “almost out of reach for Biden”.

“ I remember 1984 and 49 states.”

It was a magical, sexual time. Love abound.

RR should have recounted MN. Even so, I consider it to be a 50 State sweep.

Last nite CNN (I’m sorry to say my parent’s watch it 24/7) was excitedly claiming that Biden was competitive in TX, NC, FL, OH, PA, MI, WI, and AZ...

Biden’s gonna win ‘em all!!!

I certainly don’t believe that.

“Biden is widely seen even by Dems and independents that I know as being frail and beginning to lose it - and no sane person wants a President in that condition and deteriorating.”

They aren’t worried about that, they know that if Joe goes into a coma five minutes after the inauguration Kamala stands ready to take the reins of government and create paradise on Earth with free everything for everyone.

I remember watching the CBS election coverage and laughing as the Talking heads kept trying to hide their amazement and then panic.

I get what you are saying, but there are actually democrats out there that don't start out their day with Morning Joe, and have dinner with Anderson Cooper. Economically they have had a good four years, and while they are liberal, it is not like Biden is really fighting for them. He can't commit to issues and he seems old and uninspiring. I felt the same way with John McCain. Despite the polls I promise you he is going to leave a lot of votes on the table. Dems would have been a million times better off with a younger candidate with no track record.

I can only speak for FL. When you vote in person, your VBM ballot status is listed on the screen. If your VBM ballot is received after your status is changed to “voted”, the ballot is not supposed to even be removed from the envelope.

Good to know, but what safeguards ensure this?

Thats a really good question. I’m a poll watcher in Seminole and did it for many years in Broward. I personally think a member of each party should process the VBM ballots and shred them on camera immediately once they are confirmed as coming from someone who already voted. I suppose that audits and honest coworkers prevent a lot of nonsense but when you get systematic fraud involved, these unmarked ballots must be a huge temptation.

Are you saying that there are existing democrats who are not totally devoid of reason and divorced from reality? Where do you find them, I have not met any recently.

Cooper was the most popular rat in the state and some business interests turned against McCrory over the tranny bathroom bill. So it’s sad but not shocking Cooper ran ahead of the ticket enough to steal it.

Sadly he’s likely to run ahead and win again.
