My FR post. Have read FR for years and contribute financially. Finally decided to register as I need advice. Trump will be in Tucson tomorrow. Have never been to a rally and plan to go. I registered for tickets but havent received anything. Do they send tickets via text or email? Or do we just show up as early as we can? Any helpful hints on what to bring or not bring? Any other Freepers planning to go?
If you do not have a ticket you will not be allowed into the venue. You can show up but you will be in the overflow area well beyond the stage.
That said, Trump usually has Large Monitors and speakers set up in the overflow area so you will benefit from the Energy of Being There.
Pack only what you can carry in your pockets, in your hand or purse. You cannot bring in chairs, backpacks, sticks or poles, such as holding flags, Vape or cigarettes, etc. Do not bring fancy water bottles. They hand out at least in Reno, lots of free water. They have restrooms. I brought in Ziploc bags of snacks, in the past I brought McDonalds. Keep it simple. Be prepared to stand for hours. There are restrooms!
They no longer issue tickets. I think this is also a simplification, plus addresses Covid.
Cargo pants and tac vests are your friend.
First come, first served. Your registration is basically a means of spamming you with fund-raising solicitations. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. This year, money-wise, the GOP is not just behind, but even more behind than 2016. So it needs all the help it can get.
Put down the crack pipe
You may be right, but you may just be paranoid. Look at how many times you re-posted the same comment.
My wife and I went to a rally in 2018. We were issued tickets, but no one asked for them. It was rainy, but we had to leave our umbrella behind. Chairs, signs etc. have to be left outside.
Things are different now because of the Wuhan/CCP virus. You can take a phone, wallet, etc in, but anything that could be considered a threat by the Secret Service will be taken away.
Tucson. You might want to take some water. They may not let you in with it. If you get in you will have a good time. Lots of smiles. It’s very much like a rock concert.
Get help. You need it.
For all the other replies - thank you. I was worried about the bathroom situation as its going to be in the 90s and need to stay hydrated.

LOL
Im registered for the rally in Prescott, AZ, at noon tomorrow (the rally before the Tucson one). I just received an email this evening with instructions. We have to take shuttles because there is no parking at the airport.
You should check your email and spam folder to check for instructions/details for the venue.
