A poll of a selection of U.S. voters found 56 percent of respondents said they expect to see “an increase in violence as a result of the election” amongst other reservations about the election results just weeks before Election Day.
When asked about just what sort of violence they expected to see, those polled responded with “riots,” “looting,” “burning” as some of their predictions. “Trashing of cities” was another response.
The YouGov poll was completed between October 1 – 2, 2020 and used 1,503 respondents.
It followed another poll released October 1 that found 61 percent of Americans agree with the concern the U.S. could be on the verge of another Civil War.
Additionally, 52 percent of consumers have also stockpiled food or essential goods in anticipation of social unrest tied to a resurgence of coronavirus in the coming months and/ or the election.
The responses follow a tumultuous summer of street riots across America led by left-wing political agitators.

You’re right of course. However talking about stocking up here is no big deal, they’d have to figure out who you are.
If, and it’s a big IF for the reasons you name, there were a civil war, it won’t be blue vs. gray style. It will be bands of snot nosed kids financed by the left tearing the country down as best they can. At some point, the level of discomfort may be enough to cause a backlash. Maybe, who knows?
Or, maybe well just all slip into the grip of socialism without a fight, just a wimper.
True, yougov.com polls are nothing but junk “science.” That said, if 54% of their respondents fear a post-election civil war, it only means that 46% of their respondents are not paying attention.

I was going through my ammo stock and had begun buying ammo well before I had a gun for it. I found several boxes I had squirreled away.

I pressure can meat when I get the chance, like this week at Hannaford’s they have beef bottom round roast for $1.99/lb. For real.
Bought some for canning later.
You’ll need some sulfuric acid as well as lead. Also, a way to turn some of that lead into lead oxide paste. But if you are not too worried about size or efficiency, it isn’t too hard to make a lead-acid battery.

Without the US, little countries get eaten by big countries. Turn the US into a bunch of little countries and it’s all over for everybody but the Chinese. Quitters are the people that “squandered” what ever the Founders left us.

It basically went nowhere. They granted asylum to a few people nothing wide spread.
Get a vintage car. While doing body work on a 1968 rear fender, I put a torch on a body seam and flowed several pounds of lead into a bucket, just from one seam. Back in the 1960s I toured an auto factory and watched workers slabbing hot lead on body panel joints. Old cars are full of it. They no longer use lead. When doing body work on that same car I used a lead substitute.
I have seen primers selling for 6x cost.

Its the country that is on the ledge. There are things going on today inside this nation that were once unthinkable. The system is breaking down and the Left knows that its just a matter of time until they manage to successfully rig an election. At that point its open season on our freedoms and the political and economic systems that once served us so well.
Things are going to get even uglier after the election regardless of the outcome. I would be more optimistic if we had a political party that represented us. The Republicans blow with the winds and can never be trusted.
I assume that the DEMONcRAT Traitors who do not believe in the Second Amendment are a bit more fearful than the American Patriots who support it.

I hate to break it to you but there ain’t gonna be no war. Remember, it was hard to get people off the couch to even attend Tea Party rallies. Everyone had an excuse. I know because I heard them all.
Many conservatives are too comfortable, too complacent, and have too much at stake to get engaged in anything resembling conflict. They like their conveniences, comforts and easy life above all. That’s just reality.

Watching Harris tonight the possibility of her becoming president scares the hell out of me. She could do immense damage to the country.
Even Newt Gingrich is very concerned so I’m not alone. ;)
