Puerto Rico Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced on Tuesday threw her support behind President Trumps bid for a second term and called on Puerto Ricans to cast their votes for him on Election Day.
I ask all Puerto Ricans who are listening to go vote, the governor said in an interview on Telemundo. They have to go to vote, exercise their right to vote and evaluate who has represented being a person who thinks about Puerto Ricans and their needs at the most difficult moment. It is Donald Trump.
According to the Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día, Vázquez Garced was scheduled to appear at a campaign event with Trump in central Florida last Friday, with the governor saying she had been invited to travel on Air Force One to hold a meeting on Puerto Rico.

If Trump brings pharmaceuticals back to PR there will be jobs and prosperity for the entire island.
Ping.
Adding one more star to the flag will screw up the design.
Actually, Congress and the Senate do have the power to make a territory a state, by a majority vote. The dems want to do so as they assume PR will elect two new Senators, both dems. They shouldn’t assume this.
True.
We’ll have to buy Greenland. That would even things out. :)
I must confess I’m surprised to learn that Puerto Rico has a Republican governor.
Well, there goes Puerto Rico becoming a state.
So, the Dems just lost the extra Senators from Puerto Rico. The republican Governor just said, in effect - we would rather produce Pharmaceuticals again, which the Dems took away from us by removing our tax deal, to send it all to their buddies in the CCP, than become a poverty stricken socialist island. Who wouldve thunk it?
There are a lot of Puerto Ricans in Florida. Huge amounts.
WOW.
Not sure how much that will have an effect, but wow.
I had step family live in PR. They were VERY careful to hide their political leanings.
Wow where did that come from? Surprise Surprise
Carmen Yulín Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, hates Trump. The PR gov was appointed, not elected. Whose endorsement is more effective?
Alright! PR had a good GOP governor about 15 years ago - the first one in ages - who did great things for PR before he was defeated by the SEIU. I was in PR when that election was happening, and when I was talking to the hotel people, they all wanted the GOP governor to win. But they said that the leftist municipal union had all the power.
I don’t know anything about the current governor, Wanda Vazquez, but I’m gonna find out more...and in any case, I hope she has a good bodyguard, because the SEIU doesn’t take rejection lightly.
5 of the last 6 governors of Massachusetts have been republicans.
B-but the governor of Puerto Rico is corrupt! That’s why he’s endorsing Trump. But seriesly, folks...
