In an encyclical published on Sunday, Pope Francis announced that he’d had an epiphany thanks to the Wuhan virus: It’s time to ditch capitalism. But that’s not all. He believes, too, that in a time of a serious infectious disease, we should focus even harder on open borders. And he blithely upended almost two millennia of Church doctrine by doing away with St. Augustine’s “just war” theory.
These actions reflect Francis’s Catholic upbringing within the communist “liberation theology” of the Latin American church. They may also show the effects of his ongoing alliance with Chinese communists and with Muslims.
Fox Business sums up the gist of Francis’s communist dreams (emphasis mine):
“Aside from the differing ways that various countries responded to the crisis, their inability to work together became quite evident,” Francis wrote. “Anyone who thinks that the only lesson to be learned was the need to improve what we were already doing, or refine existing systems and regulations, is denying reality.”
He cited the grave loss of millions of jobs as a result of the virus as evidence of the need for politicians to listen to popular movements, unions and marginalized groups and to craft more just social and economic policies.
“The fragility of world systems in the face of the pandemic has demonstrated that not everything can be resolved by market freedom,” he wrote. “It is imperative to have a proactive economic policy directed at ‘promoting an economy that favours productive diversity and business creativity’ and makes it possible for jobs to be created, and not cut.”’
As an outgrowth of that, Francis rejected the concept of absolute right to property for individuals, stressing instead the “social purpose” and common good that must come from sharing the Earth’s

Never let a crisis go to waste.
If the Pope thinks Socialism/Communism is such a great idea, wait till he finds out he can’t speak about religion, much less promote it.
Throughout history there have been some really wicked popes, including those who sold their office for temporal pleasures. Popes are still men. Just sayin.
THE COMMUNIST POPE!
As an unwashed philistine with no dog in the fight; I’d say, So much for papal infallibility.
...interesting ... I never liked that guy -— and now we have the plan... It’s about perversion and to steer people away from the truth of the Church.
Go back and read through any random public statement he has issued during his papacy. In most cases you will read through pages of text without finding a single mention of the words Jesus Christ or even God.
He gives all the evidence that hes a deist at best, and more likely an atheist.
wait till he finds out he cant speak about religion, much less promote it.”
He would unaffected by such restrictions
He doesn’t do that now.
In my mind if you believe strongly in God the father, his Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and you read the Bible and or religious literature....you dont need the Pope or the church. You can be your own church. Thats just me and I am Catholic.
And how about those who became pope after another living pope was pushed asidre? I submit the record is worse in such a circumstance.
bert’s epiphany...... the Pope is inviting assassination
So says Pope Che from his walled-in fiefdom.
I miss John Paul.
For the past century, Communism is touted as the solution to every single major problem that we don’t actually have.
Papal infallibiility only comes into play when 1) a pope is speaking about faith and morals, and 2) he comes out and says he's speaking infallibly. That's happened four times in two thousand years: 1854, 1950, 1968, and 1994. Francis didn't (and couldn't) issue this infallibly.
Papal infallibility only applies when the Pope speaks on matters of faith or morals. This is neither.
He is changing the Church from being a Christian faith into being his own personal Left-wing political party.
Frank likes tyranny.
