45-year-old Deana Algarin drove a group of six young people around to swipe signs supporting President Trump.

The thefts happened in Amsterdam, Glen and Glenville and when Algarin was pulled over by police, the signs were in her vehicle. She's now facing several charges including child endangerment and having stolen property

When I was a very young man this guy I worked with at the car wash needed a roommate and I needed a place. OK, but he was a little strange. For one thing, he turned out to be a junkie. For another, he was a kleptomaniac. Besides stealing for his habit he just loved to steal.

So one day I come home to find several hundred campaign signs for some local city councilman which he was very proud to have stolen in the apartment. I asked if he knew who this guy was and he shakes his head, grinning like a maniac. "Do you know anything about politics?" No, he didn't.

I told him to get rid of the signs and he did. Next, he stole from a friend; we had a fight and I threw him out of his own place and took it over.

So far every sign-stealing incident I've seen over the next 40 years has been political but I'm just waiting for it to be a klepto again!
