We want Right, not Right-leaning. Her father-in-law is a federal district court judge appointed by Clinton. Lagoa would be a disaster.
If the Alliance for Just-us doesn’t like her she sounds like a good pick.

Don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but

Lagoa is also the daughter of immigrants from Cuba. If anyone would actually appreciate liberty and the rule of law. It is her.
I know Coney Barrett is promising, but I sincerely hope that Lagoa is the SCOTUS nominee.
(And all this sh*t wouldn’t be necessary if we didn’t have a compromised Chief Justice. If he wasn’t compromised, all the upcoming ballot-”counting” cases would routinely be smacked down 5-3.)

I read that Lagoa was involved with the whole Epstein prosecution a few years back(When Acosta had to resign because of it) anyone familiar with this..maybe Barrett is better, we dont need to hear Epstein Epstein Epstein for weeks and weeks

Trump should nominate the Indian guy. Put Dems on the spot if they won’t vote for the first Asian-American for Supreme Court justice. They are supposedly all into this first this and first that stuff.
What I want to read from her are dissents. They are normally much more telling about her judicial philosophy. I read a really good one by Barrett concerning the 2nd Amendment today. Would like to see similar for Lagoa
She’s a lightweight.
Especially in comparison to ACB.
I see a lot about her agreeing with colleagues in winning decisions. And far too little about decisions she wrote which won colleagues to her side.
And as far as I can tell, she’s published nothing.
Here’s hoping ACB becomes the nominee to be confirmed.

Does anybody have any 2nd Amendment information on Judge Lagoa? There are 2 types of “conservative” judges-—the old school Bush types that basically do whatever the Government wants them to do, and the more libertarian, pro-individual rights (like the the 2A) (and they don’t MAKE UP rights like abortion). I can’t find anything.
