That’s my president. He and McConnell gamed this out months ago. He’ll play it smartly, and dems step in it and piss off the voters (they’re starting early, with media openly calling for violence). The dems are so predictable, he’ll play them like a fiddle as always.

Democrats would fill the seat.
Everyone knows that.

I’m hearing our rino Ohio Senator Rob Portman has joined with Liberal Sherrod Brown and wants to wait until after the election.

Another reason to have the confirmation hearings begin immediately is that Kamala Harris is on the Senate Judiciary Committee and will dominate, basically running her campaign from the hearing room.
I'd love to see Ted Cruz demand that Harris recuse herself from the confirmation hearings on the grounds that she would be directly impacted by the result as the Democrat Vice-Presidential nominee.
Of course, Harris will refuse.
Americans will get a very up-close view of her as she interrogates Amy Coney Barrett, and will not like what they see.
The hearings may just swing a lot of voters away from the Harris-Biden ticket.

Despite what Biden claimed, Obamas nominee was not brought up for a vote in 2016 because that was his last year in office, the year he nominated Garland, and no president has had his nominee approved under that scenario with an opposition party controlling the Senate since the 1800s and Republicans controlled the Senate in 2016.
This is not currently the case for Trump as the President and majority Senate are now of the same party. Therefore Trump gets his pick and Obama doesn’t! Too bad for Dems. LOL.

The Left is now expecting "civility from the GOP after four years of putting us through sheer hell with their sham impeachments, their riots, their lies, their ginned up scandals and all their screaming of "not my president."
Screw them. Screw them all.
President Trump and the GOP Senate need to fast-track RGB's replacement and then we need to elect Trump for four more years so he can appoint three more.

Trump will be criticized for not waiting until Monday before moving on this. The old the body isnt even cold argument.
But Trump is Trump. Its why we elected him. He is a fighter. And he is right. Its already past time to get going on that confirmation.

“Joe Biden told reporters when he landed in Wilmington last night: “The voters should pick the president. And the president should pick the justice for the Senate to consider.”
OK Joe. The voters picked the President in 2016 and Trump is the President right now picking her replacement.

For the quickest possible confirmation of a conservative to the USSC, perhaps Trump should nominate Ted Cruz, who he just added fo his list a few days ago.
Cruz is a well-known figure already to the public and to his Senate colleagues. Of course, the Dems are going to fight the nominee no matter who it is, but I think this puts Trump in the best position to get the seat filled by a solid conservative Constitutionalist.
