I respectfully disagree. You and I have largely moved on from the virus, but much of the country still lives in complete fear of it and they look to politicians and health bureaucrats for the answer.
The media and doom doctors have done a good job of sowing fear among the people to the point that many millions still believe a porous piece of cloth over their face will somehow protect them from getting it. This is despite the same people telling us that masks don’t work and we should not wear them only months ago.
They have also done a great job of making people believe that endless shut-downs are necessary DESPITE clear evidence to the contrary and that states that are most restrictive have done or are doing worse than states that have resumed semi-normal activity.
The media and political partisans are now focusing more of their energy on blaming Trump for the virus and the continued misery they impose on the rest of us.
And McConnel should be prepared to tell Chuckie to shove it when he demands more “time” for this and that...The dumbles will try to throw every maneuver they can at the process.
Steamroll the essobees like they did us on “healthcare”.

Problem is the process is long. Long questionnaire to be filled out and studied by members of the Senate, FBI checks, each Senator can demand a meeting with nominee, public hearings, executive calenders, etc...

That would be true, technically a Judicial committee hearing would not be required if a Senator is nominated to the court.

Cruz ran for president knowing full well he was not a natural born citizen. Personal ambition got in the way of his dedication to the constiution. He lied about not knowing he had dual Canadian/US citizenship and his actual citizenship status is murky. He is NOT a NBC and should have not run.
