The SLAP heard round the world!! LOL!!
now will the left storm harry reid’s nevada ranch and demand their pound of flesh... lube up the treadmills and let’s go.
There were quite a few weak kneed sisters and pearl clutchers posting
on FR when news broke of RGBs death saying we should wait until
after the election to confirm another SC Justice.
No need to wait. Ram Trumps nominee thru with extreme prejudice.
Democrats are pushing mail in ballots and timeframe so close to an election.
So we can certainly push a Supreme Court Justice close to an election!
The death of Ruth Ginsberg offers a unique opportunity of the type that President Trump has always thrived on. He will take full advantage of it. Because of her strong pro-life Catholic/Christian beliefs, Judge Amy Coney Barrett may be the only person on earth whom the left hates and fears more than they hate and fear President Trump. The unspoken but clear threat of a Barrett nomination might have been the impetus for Senate Democrats to allow the inquisition of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to finally come to an end. Schumer and his caucus knew that, from their point of view, anyone was better than Barrett, so they finally knuckled under. Now they are getting her, just before THE election of our lives.
We are barely more than 40 days from an election that will change the history of America as no election since 1860 has done. The timeline as well as the circumstances favor our side as we have not been favored before.
The political equation shows very little down- side for Trump, in a Barrett appointment.
Consider: We have a President who will not listen to empty political whining from the left. Because they have attacked Trump for over five years without a day of respite, the media and the left have no sway over his decision- making process. This turn of events now forces every Republican (with the probable exception of Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney and Susan Collins) to stand together with arms locked to defend the right of the President to do what he has promised and appoint conservative judges to the Supreme Court.
The issue of appointments to the Court now takes center stage in this election and it will remain so until November 3. The expected howls from Democrats will only serve to hammer home the points about the need to build a strong young conservative Supreme Court, Trump has made for the last five years. The expected delaying tactics from the left will be totally transparent even to the most casual voter.
Those tactics will push the percentage of Evangelical voter support for Trump passed its already stunning 91% and widen the base of this crucial voting bloc.
Given her strong Catholic faith, Judge Barretts appointment, brings her fellow Catholics still more reason to support Trump. The winner of the Catholic vote has won each of the last six elections. Trump won Catholics 52/45 and even before this, there was little reason to believe Biden could do better.
For the first time since Sandra Day OConnor was appointed by President Reagan, Republican women will have one of their own to support for confirmation.
This also forces the so- called independent voters to actually make a decision based on real, not hypothetical grounds.
Appointing Barrett will do little to grow Joe Bidens base because it is already built on hatred for Trump and our conservative values. They were NOT drifting toward, or warming up to, Donald Trump. If anything, this will confirm their maniacal hated for him; but there is no way they will now hate him more.
This timeline also gives Trump the opportunity to demand that Biden name his likely appointees to the Court. This is no longer an issue Biden can dodge by calling it a hypothetical. It is now a real and unavoidable question that demands an answer.
The timeline favors Trump as well. He will undoubtedly announce his nominee, presumably Barrett, by Monday afternoon at a news conference with Mitch McConnell and other Republican leaders at his side.
This will immediately generate the attacks Trump will use to make the point that the confirmation process has already begun. That will take the wind out of Schumers sails when he tries to assert, We have to wait until after Inauguration Day for such an important confirmation.
The left could make that case only if they had the self -restraint to remain silent on this issue which is simply not possible because they hate and fear Trump and Barrett so much.
Once the president announces the appointment, McConnell will announce the process will begin on Wednesday September 30th. That provides enough time to get past the various funeral services and commemorative gatherings the left will hold. It will also be the day after the first debate when Trump will have demanded to see Bidens short list to fill the vacancy.
In the meanwhile, Barrett will have made some of the requisite courtesy visits to various Senators. This will provide another great opportunity for Trump as there will be so many Democrat Senators who will refuse to receive her. Trump will be all over that opportunity to show how the left has no plans of allowing his choice to be confirmed, now or at any time.
The necessary Committee work will be done on Thursday October 1st. They will recommend the confirmation be debated and voted on by the full Senate. McConnell will set the first day of deliberations and questioning for October 6th. He will use the Harry Reid (thank you Harry) nuclear option that will settle the question using a simple majority. He will also limit the time each Senator gets to question Judge Barrett. The Democrats will show themselves to be completely angry and scary. They will be ugly and disgraceful. Their conduct will make the Kavanaugh hearings look like a church social. They will destroy themselves in the eyes of the majority of voters.
Senator Harris will show her strong anti-Catholic hatred and show America why she must never be allowed to run our lives.
Finally, a vote will take place on Monday October 19th. In this vote, Murkowski, Romney, and Collins will vote NO. No Democrats will vote yes. This will create a 50/50 tie which will be broken by Vice President Mike Pence and the nomination will carry.
Why will it be so short? The Democrats who are in danger like Peters of Michigan and Jones of Alabama will have to return to the campaign trail as will others who will just want to get this over with, to start to try to repair the damage the likes of Cory Booker and the viciously ant-Catholic Senator Mazie Hirono will have done to the Democrat brand. Republicans like Cory Gardner, Susan Collins and Martha McSally will need to get out on the road as well.
This is yet another Heads Trump wins, tails the Democrats lose.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed 42 days after she was nominated by President Bill Clinton.
@RealDonaldTrump’s nominee should get the same speedy consideration by the Senate.

Lol! Trump, always poking the bear
Precisely! We should be fed up with this automatic assumption that our vote didnt have any purpose or meaning. That the peoples decision doesnt matter. That media and leftist hacks can override our vote with threats and violence.
Godspeed, President Trump!
What I don’t get is Alaska. How do you guys keep that fool in the Senate? Maine too.
If the GOP delays, it will give the Left a rallying call to get out the vote.
Harry Reid was a petty little man. He blocked the "right to try bill," but was himself saved from cancer with an experimental treatment.
Unless someone can talk sense into Mittens,Murkowski and Collins it’s hard to imagine this happening.Although I suppose that Jones might figure that his fate on 11/3 depends on supporting the President.
I was one of those “pearl clutchers” because I am generally not a fan of pulling your gun if you don’t have any bullets.
Romney is a snake, Murkowski is a rat, and Collins is a weasel. Plus, there are a number of get along types who want to campaign just before the election. McConnell can effortlessly move any vote past the election, and he is not trustworthy on this.
All that said, if Trump wants to move forward, he has determined that pushing the nomination forward will scramble the Dem machine more than ours. So I am on board, but I still don’t expect a vote before the election, maybe not even hearings.
Maine is blue...politically it’s just an appendage of Massachusetts.
Looks like da Trumpster done blacked Harry’s other eye!
