Alaska's @lisamurkowski said today she won't confirm a new SCOTUS justice until after the inauguration day. Fair is fair, she says. My colleague @kcgrove will have a story shortly.
By tomorrow there will be five or six RINOS who will not confirm.
Murkowski, Romney, Collins, Linda Graham, and one or two others.
RBG is dead, and a nomination is dead until 2021.
Mittens would like nothing better than to stick it to Trump on this.
Still makes sense to put up a nominee. Put EVERYONE in a tough vote. Enough games. Unless Trump thinks it’s in his favor to hold off. The only person in Washington who deserves the benefit of the doubt is Trump.

He should remove her from all committee assignments as a show of strength.
Collins is toast, so she might as well go for it given that she voted for Kavanaugh.

If her replacement is held off until after the election, then her passing makes this election EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER!

WE have to move now, Trump could win and we could still lose the senate or have the margin fall so far that we’d basically have nominate a RINO. We can afford to lose Collins, Murkowski and Romney. We wont get a single Democrat. The question is can we keep 50 together?

Romney is pro-life. Murkowski is not. And she didn’t support Kav.
But we can afford to lose 3.
If the GOP Majority Senate refuses to vote on a nominee until after inauguration day or votes down Trumps nominee, the GOP is finished.
My bet is that other GOP jackasses come to the front to block a vote ... just to protect him.
