Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, has nominated President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after the administration helped facilitate a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE):
“For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees.”

Tybring-Gjedde, also chairman of the Norwegian delegation to the NATO, told Fox News. “I’m not a big Trump supporter. The committee should look at the facts and judge him on the facts – not on the way he behaves sometimes. The people who have actually received the Peace Prize in recent years have done much less than Donald Trump. For example, Barack Obama did nothing.”
Tybring-Gjedde wrote: “As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in the footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity.” He mentioned Trump’s “key role in facilitating contact between conflicting parties and creating new dynamics in other protracted conflicts.”
The letter also referenced Trump’s moves to withdraw U.S. soldiers from the Middle East, saying that Trump is the first U.S. president in 40 years to not start a war or drag the U.S. into an international conflict.
Obama was infamously handed the prize due only to his celebrity in 2009 -- in a move that was widely ridiculed (except by liberals) and likely damaged the reputation of the Committee.

Agree. The Dems are actually attacking him for bailing on these on-going “wars”’ (where we never thought to win in the first place) and attacking him for being in favor of peace and diplomatic solutions.
Put this up on billboards and social media all over the country.
I’d be shocked if they ever give Trump a Nobel Peace Prize, even though objectively he deserves one. Nonetheless, it’s nice to see that the Norwegian legislature has at least one honest, fair-minded member.

In travels around the country I had a few female cab drivers in a row, including one amazing African American woman driving a cab in DC. I had the good fortune to be travelling with colleagues and so ended up in the front for a 1/2 hour trip to the airport so I had plenty of time to listen to her insights on politics.
They were all pro-Trump and the reason was war. They are just sick of war.
The only time I had a wavering cabdriver was the night of the missile attack on Soliemeni, and that driver was worried that Trump wanted a war with Iran. But I’m sure she now realizes that by projecting strength Trump is keeping us out of war with Iran. When was the last time you heard about Iran harassing, ramming, swarming or detaining our ships? gee I wonder why they stopped.
The funny (pathetically sad) thing is that the Nobel Peace Prize ranks behind the Ig Nobel Prizes in relevance.

I dont think he is pro Trump per se but he might be. I think he loved the fact that he could throw a skunk at the prize committee ass first. They are in an untenable position. Admit they are political hacks or award the prize to the man they despise the most in all creation. It tickles my funny bone.
