Former Gov. Rick Snyder in an op-ed published by USA Today on Thursday endorsed Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, making waves as a Republican who isn’t backing incumbent President Donald Trump.
He’s one of a number of Republicans who are speaking out against Trump’s reelection, according to Jeff Timmer, a senior advisor with The Lincoln Project, a group of disillusioned Republicans working to defeat Trump and his supporters in Congress.
“There’s never been a time like this when so many members of an incumbent president’s party have said ’vote for the other guy,’” Timmer said on a taping of WKAR’s Off The Record on Thursday.
So, what was behind Snyder’s decision? MLive caught up with him in a telephone interview on Thursday. It’s published below, with slight edits for length and clarity.
Q: You didn’t endorse Donald Trump in 2016, did you vote for him?
I’ve never said. What I would say is, I was not a big fan of Donald Trump’s before, but I had an open mind, and in particular, in the op-ed piece I wrote about going to his inaugural address. I was sitting there in the stands. And I view it as an opportunity to see how he was going to lead. It was an opportunity to heal the country after a very divisive election season between Trump and (Hillary) Clinton.

Snyder was a rotten left-leaning RINO Governor who helped hand the Governorship to Wretched “Dead Eyes” Gretchen. That’s what always happens when you elect RINOs.
Schwarz was a leftist Demonrat pretending to be a Republican, a useless twat. Trott was a squish, secondmost left-leaning RINO Congressman from Michigan after Fred Upton in 2018, but he endorsed Conservative Bill Schuette for Governor that year in the primary. He seems to have just gone full retard. He ran away from running for a third term that year.

“Republican” predecessors and a big supporter of GW Bush against Reagan (that should tell you everything you need to know about the clown). Millikin complained that the 1980 Michigan delegation to the Convention included truck drivers as Reagan delegates. If you paid more attention to truck drivers and other people who work and create things, Mr. Millikin, then your leading city might not have gone from 2 million to 600,000 in the space of a few decades with a hollowed out industrial base. A Millikin reverse miracle.

Never Trumpers are pissed at him for shifting away from Russia as international enemy #1 to China. These people have all made big money on selling out our industry, pharmaceuticals, and technology to the CCP. That and cheap labor from illegals are the real reasons.
