Why did Michigan go for Trump, but keeps electing RINO and Dem governors?

Milliken was just despicable. He was Coleman Young’s personal butt boy. Young would yell “jump” and Milliken would ask, “How high ?” With RINOs like these, who needs Demonrats ?

Millikin endorsed Kerry in 2004, Obama in 2008 and 2012 and the felon in 2016. Millikin reversed his endorsement of McCain in 2008 bc he said “mean things” about Obama. He wasn’t much of a Republican nor apparently, much of a governor. He reminds me of Cahill in New Jersey, who lost the primary and as his last act as governor, appointed his left Democrat predecessor as Chief Justice of the NJ Supreme Court to stick it to conservatives and Mr. Hughes did just that with disastrous sweeping legal decisions for the State. When do you ever see a liberal Dem governor appointing a conservative to anything, much less Chief Justice?

Afraid of going to jail when a second term Trump DoJ has the time to focus on his criminal behavior in the Flint lead water scandal, maybe? Hoping he has some sway to elect Grandpa Groundhog?

It didn’t go to Trump by much, had been rat for President since 1992. Senate races have been a disaster since 1994, I hope John James can change that after a strong performance 2 years ago. It’s been a slightly rat leaning state.

Engler was a decent Governor. After his long tenure the rats had the change argument in 2002 and charismatic bitch to nominate, they won by 4 points, in a rat year 2006, she was reelected.

Unfortunately Snyder managed to win the primary in 2010, a good year for Republicans so he ended up getting elected, in the primary he got 36% in race with 4 major candidates, all of whom more conservative than him of course. He romped to victory in November.

That he was reelected by a much reduced margin in another good GOP year says it all. His failures and disloyalty to the party, combined with an already unfavorable election climate, doomed the 2018 GOP ticket.

I always got a kick out of the media labeling these pukes “Republicans” when they ceased to be one or endorse one decades ago. Look at Timmy Kaine’s father in law in Virginia, the VERY-left wing RINO Abner Linwood Holton (Timmy named his domestic terrorist progeny after him), who was the first “Republican” Governor since the 19th century when he was elected in 1969. Holton, who turns 97 this month, probably hasn’t endorsed a Republican (aside from the equally weasely John Warner) in 50 years.

I’d have to do serious in-depth research to find the last Demonrat to have endorsed or appointed a Republican in a similar way. One just doesn’t come to mind at all. While there are a few courageous Dems who have come out to endorse Trump or other Republicans in the past (ah, just remembered that Conservative Democrat Massachusetts Governor Ed King endorsed President Reagan after he lost renomination in 1984. King had the common courtesy to switch parties soon after), they are far outnumbered by treasonous and treacherous Republicans, many of whom claimed to be “Conservative.”

Trump has certainly exposed a lot of these weasels. If the national party had an ounce of credibility, they would publicly expel any individual who has held office under the party banner who openly endorses the Dem Presidential candidate. That should be immediate grounds for dismissal. If you want to endorse a pedo and a treasonous Communist scumbag, don’t claim you’re doing so “as a Republican.”

>> I guess I owe the Kerry Benvitolio fan club an apology <<

I forgot what was the issue with Bentivolio... he was a Paulbot or something? Most of them are b@t$hit crazy, but I would say 10-15% of Ron Paul disciplines are actually decent conservatives so its not always a sign they need to be primaried.

In any case, his successor David Trott was a member of the "Republican Main Street Partnership" (which is pretty much RINO, Inc.) and was quiet vocally pro-gun grabbing and pro-homo marriage, so he was definitely to Bentivolio's left.

FYI, I never realized Bentivolio physically resembles Dick Cheney.

And the RAT that won the district now (Haley Stephens, probably a brain dead commie) is kinda cute (moreso than Tulsi Gabbard anyway)... but apparently she is engaged to be married.

“I never realized Bentivolio physically resembles Dick Cheney.”

Hey, neither did I but he really does doesn’t he, cross Cheney with santa (cause he’s a damn reindeer farmer).

Yes, he’s Paulish, became a never Trumper in 16’ and briefly tried to get the LP VP nomination, flip flopped to Trump supporter. Involved in weird movies including some BS 9/11 movie.

My biggest problem with him was his obvious weakness as a candidate, he was just a random no hope weirdo until Thad McCotter’s bizarre failure to qualify for the ballot. I thought he could lose the GE. I supported the write in candidate against him in the primary (Synder endorsed him though, lol), and while he did win the redrawn more GOP district against a Muslim name guy, he indeed lost the simultaneous special election under the old lines against a different rat without a Muslim name. Dude will not stop running for the seat, lost again this year.

People said Trott was a POS, I discounted it. Still I never thought he’d turn traitor.

My penis disagrees RE: Haley Stevens ;-D She looks like she has 50 cats.
