Oregon’s governor has ordered extra cops to swamp Portland to finally “stop the cycle of violence” at nightly protests after they turned deadly this weekend.
Gov. Kate Brown announced a six-point plan late Sunday that will bring in more officers across the state in what she said would “protect free speech and bring violence and arson to an end in Portland.”
It also includes ensuring there is enough jail space to hold people accused of violent behavior, as well as getting extra help from the US Attorney and FBI in investigating protest-related crimes, she said
“We all must come together — elected officials, community leaders, all of us — to stop the cycle of violence,” the Democrat said in a statement.

First, what “extra cops”? Oregon my have some state police (Highway patrol) that answers to the state but I don’t believe the governor has the authority to order in city police from one area to another.
Most police are restricted in areas they hold any authority.
She may discover that local police do not want any part of the mess she has allowed to develop.
The Democrat’s national election 2020 playbook just got a new page added, and LATEKate got her copy. Now that the Democrat’s internal polls are indicating that the Dems are paying a price for their lawlessness and Godilessness, they are now trying to induce law and order. TOO LATE KATE AND WHEELER. P.S. The Dems are now attempting to come up with a plausible reason to cancel the debates without having to expose the weaknesses of their 2020 effort. Hold on just a minute. There are only peaceful protests there.
Even with all this violence in Portland I expect Trump to still lose Oregon by double digits as he did in 2016, but could a few extra thousand more voters for the president help down the ballot Republicans there?

With the Commie-Rat local DA no bailing every rioter and dropping all charges, what the police do is not relevant to stopping the rioters.
No way would they even think about going after their preferred Antifa and BLM rioters.
