if they actually start putting these riots down, it isn’t because it is the right thing to do, to protect their citizens, businesses, etc. - it is simply due to the politics of the upcoming election and the increasing signs their existence is damaging Biden politically.
That’s how messed up these people are.
No kidding, win at all costs including murder and property damage in the billions.

This latest legal aberration of temporarily hiring officers from other jurisdictions is an attempt to avoid activating the Oregon National Guard.
Why would any taxpayer in an outside municipality agree to their taxes covering the risk of one of their officers getting injured and potentially disabled in Portland?

Apparently the governor has now become aware of some riots going on in some city in Oregon, and she might check it out.
In that six point plan document she blamed the Patriot Prayer group for the violence saying they brought guns not true. From her announcemnt:
“The right-wing group Patriot Prayer and self-proclaimed militia members drove into downtown Portland last night, armed and looking for a fight. Every Oregonian has the right to freely express their views without fear of deadly violence. I will not allow Patriot Prayer and armed white supremacists to bring more bloodshed to our streets.
It took approximately 3 months of observation to determine that violence is cyclical. Now they know what to do: tell the police to stop it.
