TheBlaze founder and 2020 Radio Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Beck issued a public apology to President Donald Trump for doubting him in 2016.
In a series of tweets, the talk-show host wrote, "I am feeling so humbled this week. I feel truly horrible for the things I said and believed in 2016 about @realDonaldTrump. I believed the worst politically, which he proved me wrong at almost every turn. In the most dramatic cases (life/Israel/China/authoritarian)."
Beck pointed out that the president deserves to be praised for his handling of the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to researchers at Johns Hopkins University, the virus has infected at least 5,889,652 Americans at the time of this writing, and has caused 181,186 deaths.
"I expected @realDonaldTrump to take control federally at the first opportunity. Here we are in a massive crisis. Bush 'violated the free market to save the free market.' Trump could have violated federalism to 'save federalism' yet he has stood firm through COVID."

"But let me cut to the chase," he continued. "I believed he actually didn't care about people. When @realDonaldTrump called me after my fathers [sic] death, I assigned the motive to politics AND SAID SO. What haunts me this week is how my words must have hit his children."
Beck, who spoke with Donald Trump Jr. last week, said that he felt compelled to issue an apology to the president's son for his stance in 2016.

If he is being sincere, I will accept on the president’s behalf. As for the Never Trumping Biden endorsing Bush league Republicans including failed presidential candidates dead or alive, they can burn in hell
Beck thought Trump was like him, ie. an opportunistic charlatan scumbag. It is like with the libs... they accuse you of what they are or are doing. I think his conversion to MAGA is pocket book driven. He schemed and miscalculated and now the crocodile tears because his wallet is squealing.

Glenn Beck has 10.5 million listeners - we could use him in this fight; just sayin ...
Dude, no. Your post is wrong and repugnant. We should never advocate the taking of one’s own life.
I’m not a Glenn Beck fan anymore, but I would also never tell him (or anyone else) to commit suicide.

Accept the repentant sinner—Now he must prove himself in his support for Trump in all ways. It is one thing to make an apology —another to take the message to say—Chicago or New York. Go on CNN and support Trump in the face of the enemy. Risk your life in the face of Maddened demonstrators seeking blood to give out the truth. Prove yourself and be welcomed back to the fold.

He still looks reasonably young then.
Urging someone to take their own life - is that the new normal for Free Republic?
Once upon a time, Christian values prevailed here.
Hey folks .... let’s celebrate the people who have come
into our Trump group instead of being so critical. Sometimes reading posts on FR depresses me, as they are so negative.
I remember in 2016, I was not very keen on Donald Trump entering the group of candidates. I voted for Rubio on the MN caucuses. It was a mistake which I realized within a month. I think I became a Trump fan when I saw that he was for real and that he was not a quitter. He loves our country and would fight for it.
So, people joining our tent against the relentless march of socialism are welcomed by me. Better later than never.
This is the kind of stuff folks have forgotten about, which
makes it so easy to just go “Aww Glenn, it’s okay.”
No, this kind of talk and a whole lot more makes my blood
boil to this day.
Months of this crap went out of the air in 2016.
Too late, Becky. Go do your concern troll Karen act somewhere else. I suggest Venezuela.
No, and don’t care. Mark Levin can go to the same place as Cheetos Becky.
It seems that Conservatives have solidified behind President Trump, and RINOs have been flushed out into opposition, as the President’s actions have proven his real character.
Rubio is part of the relentless march to socialism, he voted for amnesty and a permanent Democrat majority.
He degusted me although there are millions of Becks out there.
The good Lord does not expect us to be perfect, nor does he expect us to be doormats for those that have abused us, and to let them abuse us again.
We’ll need about a decade or so of good behavior from both of these media meatheads before they can start to be trusted again.
I should have explained a bit, a couple other Freepers claimed to have heard an apology from Levin also.
I was wondering if I should trust them.
