Players on the Milwaukee Bucks called Wednesday for the Wisconsin legislature to reconvene to address police brutality and criminal justice reform after boycotting their NBA playoff game to protest the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
"We are calling for justice for Jacob Blake and demand the officers be held accountable," Bucks guard George Hill said in a statement to reporters as several of his teammates stood behind him. "For this to occur, it is imperative for the Wisconsin legislature to reconvene after months of inaction and take meaningful measures to address police accountability, brutality and criminal justice reform."
"We encourage all citizens to educate themselves, take peaceful and responsible action and remember to vote on November 3," Hill added.

Given the demographics of the NBA, it is surprising that the team name Bucks has survived without some kind of challenge. Maybe the only people old enough to understand the reference just don't care anymore.

That game should have been a forfeit. If both teams failed to get on the floor, each should get a forfeit.
NBA Players Association is meeting tomorrow to determine whether to keep playing or just end the season. Games tomorrow will be postponed. Seems as though they are leaning toward ending the season. I hope they do...and I hope they do not get paid.
I am not a gambler ... but back when the ball bouncers were cheering the China slavery I figured out they were losers and they are NOT capitalists .... They have no problem using ‘slave’ labor to fund their bank accounts .. and then point their two face fingers at US, with lying accusations.. NOT a field I find a safe bet. They have poked a hole in their inflated balls... The NBA are beyond stupid, they have no one to blame but themselves.
Hopefully the late hockey game will continue.
