I'm trying to figure out how I lose if they cancel the season or even permanently disband the league. There are only a few jobs ex-NBA players are qualified for - and no I do not want fries with that.

There is an “All Hands on deck” meeting that is currently ongoing with all player. They asked the coaches to leave (because most are white apparently) and the word is that if the Owners cannot make satisfactory promises that changes are going to happen...then they are done playing this year. I don’t really know what they think 32 men can do...but they are demanding promises of “change” from the owners or they will end the season.

Loving this one....Naomi Osaka, a tennis superstar who is JAPANESE/Haitian, who is a citizen of JAPAN, (didn’t realize BLM has made it to Japan) has pulled out of the Western-Southern Open tournament, in protest. It’s too bad she didn’t have the decency to not play at all, thus giving the opponents she beat in the earlier rounds a chance they would still be in the tournament. Another thing that struck me was that she claims it is an “all white sport”, very disingenuous in that Serena Williams has dominated women’s tennis for twenty years and there are many other black pros. In fact, a black woman was President of the USTA for many years.
Here is an excerpt from her press statement:
“I don’t expect anything drastic to happen with me not playing,” Osaka wrote. “But if I can get a conversation started in a majority white sport I consider that a step in the right direction. “Watching the continued genocide of Black people at the hand of the police is honestly making me sick to my stomach. I’m exhausted of having a new hashtag pop up every few days and I’m extremely tired of having this same conversation over and over again. When will it ever be enough?”
Maybe she can take it up with the Democrat Mayors who run all of these cities where these shootings have taken place.
