By striking, these players have violated their contracts, which could open up an entirely new can of worms. I expect the owners to revert to their greedy norms of operations (small bit of sarcasm), and take advantage of that during the next CBA.

If the playoffs don't resume, the NBA will suffer an even greater financial hit. IIRC, the Commissioner's Office is funded from TV revenues from the NBA finals.
