A “massive demonstration” is reportedly set to unfold in Louisville Tuesday to draw attention to the death of Breonna Taylor, the aspiring Black nurse who was killed in a police-involved shooting earlier this year.
The gathering is being organized by Until Freedom, the New York-based social justice organization behind the sit-in at Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s house in mid-July that resulted in 87 arrests, according to the Louisville Courier Journal.
The “massive demonstration” today will nonviolently "escalate the urgent call for justice for Breonna Taylor and the Louisville community," the newspaper quoted the organization as saying in a press release.
The Louisville Metro Police Department, meanwhile, has declared that all personnel will be available for duty.

Conveniently timed for the RNC convention. Why not last week, commies?
A decent shotgun, handgun and something that fires a .223, or something similar, is the minimum suburban homeowners should have at hand going forward.
I wonder if the protesters will mention that she was the lease-holder of the apartment that was being used to receive drug shipments?
NY-based astroturf.
We live in the area where St. Albert’s is located. The AG lives there who they are supposed to “protest”. We are only a short distance away. Making plans to leave if it gets to close. But I really want to protect my home, but I only have a shotgun and I don’t really know where it is. Need to find it.
You need an AR or an AK.
Which was never proven and they found nothing. The ostensible excuse was to execute an arrest warrant... on a guy they already had.
Find it...learn how to operate it, load it, keep it handy and secure in case you need to protect yourself...a shotgun is perfect for homeland defense....slojo was right on something...
Funny how the postal inspectors that do the actual package surveillance dispute that allegation, which then calls into question the validity of the warrant.
Sloppy police work resulted in the death of an American citizen without due process.
I am not a fan of letting cops do sloppy work “because drugs”.
I’ve heard so much conflicting info on this one I don’t know what to believe.
Here’s the important parts to remember:
She’s been dead for 5 months
Supposedly the investigation ended 3 months ago
One cop got fired
procedures have supposedly been changed
The investigation results have not been made public
If that doesn’t smell rotten you have a sinus infection.
I live 85 miles east of Louisville. As an Uber driver, I get called on to take people to Louisville from time to time. Usually it happens in the middle of the night, so I have to watch my back over there. Hopefully I won’t go there tonight.
Which means, bring your gas cans, ball bats, and vans.
Did they not arrest anybody in this murder? It seems like it was ages ago. I know justice is slow but this is ridiculous.
Good grief. And?
You need an AR or an AK.

Cant you just refuse a fare that you think is dangerous or does UBER have some kind of anti-discrimination policy that prevents you from refusing certain neighborhoods?
