I don’t buy this explanation.
1. If it was designed as a feature on purpose, the package usually says something about that feature. The package does not mention that the doll makes sounds when seated.
2. You have to actively press the button to get it to make the squeals and other sounds. It doesn’t happen when it’s just sitting there.
Hasbro is lying through their teeth. I hope the agencies that look into pedophiles and grooming take a good look at Hasbro.
