(CNN)Former President George W. Bush will release a book of 43 portraits of immigrants in conjunction with an exhibition on the value of American immigration at the George W. Bush Presidential Center that will feature the paintings.
The book from Bush, a prolific amateur painter, will be titled "Out of Many, One" and will publish in March, according to a statement from the book's publisher, Crown. "Through powerful four-color portraitspersonally painted by the President himselfand their accompanying stories, OUT OF MANY, ONE reminds us of the countless ways in which America has been strengthened by the individuals who have come here in search of a better life," the statement continued. In the book's introduction, Bush expressed hope that his book would help present immigration as a unifying, uplifting issue.

He’s not too bad of a painter.
It’s more delightful to watch lefties embrace him now and eat all their vile hatred.
Over 300 Illegal aliens were arrested for child sex crimes in North Carolina alone between October 2018 and June 2019.
Same.
Replacement Americans.
Because we wouldn’t vote for the New World Order of his father they have been importing people who will.
I saw it myself the amount of manufacturing jobs that where shipped do to companies downsizing or streamlining costs was an eye opener just as long as we kept getting cheap stuff at Walmart which is all W cared about
Will Melania Trump and Ivanna Trump be among them?
At least, unlike Al "flunked out of divinity school" Gore, he got the motto right, "E Pluribus Unum".
We are a nation of immigrants and their descendants. Even the native tribes are descended from hunter gatherers who migrated from Siberia during the last ice age. But they, and all immigrants until the 1960's, arrived ready and willing to earn their keep or with wealth in hand. They may have expected the streets to be paved with gold but didn't expect or demand a share without working for it.
The GOP has been actively preventing us from electing anyone who would side with the citizens and the rule of law.
They only want us to vote for people dedicated to the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA)
I would just say, that something which happens on a President’s “watch” is not necessarily his “fault”, if you will.
History is a bit more complicated, as you mention President Hoover and the Depression. It’s a stretch to say that the Depression was the fault of President Hoover.
Or what are you saying? Are you merely observing that some bad events happened when someone was president, or are you saying that such events should be blamed on said president for not having the foresight to prevent these events?
“The term, illegal alien is bad. We must find a way to keep media from contaminating the good word immigrant!”
The proper term is criminal alien.
We haven’t had that since 1965.
More portraits for Shrub!
Even his job on the way out.
Go away Shrub!
Stuttering-drunk Bush Junior ran and hid on 9-11. Then he covered up his Saudi patrons’ role in it. (while whisking them out of the country). Then he got thousands of Americans killed and maimed in order to rid the Saudis of a rival (while Saudi young men hung out in shopping malls).
But none of that wretched behavior causes him grief. What grieves him today is that, despite multiple attempts, he was unable to accomplish his dreamed-of obliteration of the United States via a de-facto merger with Mexico.
He appears to be sober, too.
“The proper term is criminal alien.’ in place of “illegal alien.” - some old timers use the word, “wetback.”
God knows I didnt like Bush as well. His so called leadership drove me up a wall. But i feel i do have to defend him on this one little point.
The attack was hatched, planned, and financed years earlier when Clinton was in office. As i understand it, the attack was supposed to take place while clinton was still in office. But the hijackers kept on pushing the date of their planned attack forward, much to bin laden’s frustration.
Apparently the hijackers found its not so easy to co-ordinate and schedule several hijackings of long distance planes with full fuel tanks all on the same day, around the same time. So the date of the planned attack kept on moving forward, past the end of the clinton administration, and straight into the beginning of the bush administration.
When bush came in to office, he inherited the bad national security situation left behind by the clinton administration. Among many other factors, we already had several terrorist cells within our borders who already completed their years long planning and training and were just looking and waiting for the right moment to strike.
I do recall that he put the airports on high alert, but i doubt there was much more he could do in his first 9 months in office that clinton couldnt (or wouldnt) do in his last few years in office.
