Elon Musk: ‘China Rocks,’ America Is Full of ‘Complacency and Entitlement’

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated in a recent interview that people in the United States are “entitled” and “complacent” while Chinese citizens are “smart” and “hard-working people.”

CNBC reports that in a recent interview with Automotive News’ “Daily Drive” podcast, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk complained of the “entitled” and “complacent” character of U.S. citizens while praising the “smart” and “hard-working” people of China. This is far from the first time that Musk has cozied up to communist China.

Musk criticized New York and California, states that have both gone to extreme lengths to support Musk’s businesses with tax breaks, regulatory credits, and regular government help. Breitbart News has reported extensively on the government subsidies that Musk and his companies have taken advantage of.

Jason Stein, the publisher of Automotive News who conducted the interview with Musk, asked him “How about China as an EV strategy leader in the world?” to which Musk replied: “China rocks in my opinion. The energy in China is great. People there – there’s like a lot of smart, hard-working people. And they’re really — they’re not entitled, they’re not complacent, whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and L.A. and New York.”

Say what? Is that you Dementia Joe? Your level of incoherence is getting much worse. Ask Jill to put you to bed. Wow!

Your words betray you. They give you away. The Old Testament spoke of this. I suggest you read it before getting all emotional and offended. You might learn something valuable to you in your life. In fact, I can guarantee you you will.

I’ll put it simply for you. Buy now when you can. I thought they might’ve topped out at 800, almost double that and they aren’t even that big yet.

“Can you say “ingrate”?”

Can you say “the truth hurts”?

I don’tthink he’s far off the mark.

There are millions of Americans who feel entitled to feed at the public tit and show no appreciation for it.

Most freepers are aghast that he would say something like that, yet they are the first to complain about multi generational welfare queens, drug addled bums, the hundreds of welfare programs, food stamps up the wazoo, etc, etc.

America and Americans are not what it used to be.

Most freepers are probably at or near 65 and collect SS, way beyond what they put in. But dammit if you take a dime away! (callback to Abe Simpson ‘I didn’t earn, I don’t need it, but damn you if you take it away!’)

I don't appreciate this little pr***ks comments one bit,

I have worked hard all my life for my paychecks and think the man is spot on with his comments. We are tottering on the brink and I don't take his comments personally. I don't know why you do.

“He has a point. When a welfare family is provided a comfortable middle class income for not working, “Complacency and Entitlement” follows.”

And freepers are the first to point that out. Yet whem Musk says it it’s suddenly blasphemy.

He actually built two very successful companies employing tens of thousands of people and bring some respect back to the American space program and in the process creating many millionaires.

I wish all “welfare” recepients did 100th what he has done.

You want to see an ass who can’t distinguish between a producer and a taker? Look in the mirror!

Bring all the factories back, and we’ll see who’s the hard working.

And attempting to defy the laws of nature will eventually lead to discouragement, then facing reality.

Exactamundo. A lot-of-holier than thou hypocrites frequent this site. And talk about ingrates! You would think they would be grateful to have such an inventive and productive entrepreneur in their midst, a true genius who has created tens of thousands of jobs and state of the art products, instead all they can do is bash him for having the courage to point out an unpleasant truth.

Ah, okay. I bought it several years ago. Held onto it through some ups and downs. Doing quite well now. I thought it far more tangible than the ephemeral “BitCoin”.
Of which I have never spent a single dollar on. I’m simply not ever going to spend a single dollar on anything completely intangible.

"people in the United States are “entitled” and “complacent” while Chinese citizens are “smart” and “hard-working people."

Apparently anybody that doesn't want to work on his electric car plantation has an attitude problem, according to Musk.

I have read that the US government intends to “leapfrog” Chinese space capabilities by having cheap, reuseable space vehicles. The US government is heavily subsidizing these operations, through NASA. It is part of the Space Force national strategy, and it would be insane that we’d spend all this money, and the Chinese would be able to steal the technology and gain parity in space, within a year. As it stands now, the Chinese are 20 years behind the US, in space. Musk had best begin weeding out the inevitable Chinese spies that are surely embedded within his company.

This is a national strategic advantage, that is expected to add an additional leg to the current nuclear triad. How space is going to be weaponized depends on who gets there first with strike and defensive weapons platforms.

Elon Musk has been saying weird and contradictory things for a couple of years now (remember the thailand case?)

He puts in 16 hour days, 7 days a week and gets less than 5 hours sleep per night.

He needs to rest.
