In a lengthy report, USA TODAY interviewed 10 players, two former coaches and two parents about the program. They also obtained two years worth of exit interviews.
An article published on Aug. 5 by USA TODAY Sports details an alleged culture of abuse and a "toxic environment" in the Texas Tech women's basketball program under Coach Marlene Stollings. In the article, allegations included, but were not limited to:

Those are some nappy-headed ho-s. Apparently these players didn’t realize they were signing up for D-1 college basketball. The one player was upset that she was told to ditch the emotional support dog. In reality the coach was probably trying to chase off some of the former coach’s recruits.
They came so close two years ago.
She was apparently born in Beaver, OH...
I would quit!
So give up your scholarships and go back to the ‘hood.... there’s a wonderful future there.
I support their decision to resign in disgust, or whatever. Just go away.
Both instances the pecking orders were savage, particularly at the college level, girls choosing one group or another, the venomous coach poisoning all of them.
Buncha gorgeous TAALLL women all horned up for each other for about a week at a time.

Occasionally, complaints like this are actually reality-based.
The story somewhat suggests that the coach may have been running for the Ellen DeGeneres Lifetime Achievement award.

Not all female B-Ball players are lesbians. I’ve heard of instances where some players were harassed into leaving because they were straight.
