‘Impossible’ Hybrid Suggests Non-Darwinian Change

July 28, 2020 | David F. Coppedge

Animals may be more capable of sharing genetic information than coming up with it de novo.

What is a sturdlefish? It’s a cross between a sturgeon and a paddlefish. But this is no silly riddle for middle schoolers. It’s a reality that biologists thought was impossible: two species of fish from different continents that interbred and produced live offspring, even though their “common ancestor” supposedly lived 184 million years ago.

Interbreeding among species?

Big deal. How else did we get Mermaids.

Unusual, but not unheard of. Mules are produced by mating a male donkey with a female horse. Horses and donkeys don’t even have the same number of chromosomes, so the offspring end up sterile. Almost certainly the same with this hybrid. There are many wondrous mysteries in our world and it’s interesting to see the beauty of its depth exposed.

Silly article, verbosity with no point. Not once did they say the sturdlefish is sterile.

“Nothing new here; they still have to deal with the lack of evolution for 180 million years”

Unless there is some selection pressure there is no reason for a species to change.

“Interbreeding among species?”

That’s also how we got Antifa.

The freaks mated with the losers and voila! Antifa.

1. When scientists started laying out the complete human genome, one of their ongoing discoveries is a substantial portion of our genome that appears to have no operational purpose - they find nothing in the human body it appears to code for. They have claimed that much of that non-performing DNA is “garbage” from mutations and/or “leftover” during evolution but now doing nothing.

2. A later ongoing discovery in genetics has been the issue of “epigenetics” - how some genes seem to be dormant unless and until some external input triggers them to activate, as well as genes that seem to become inactive due to triggers from external sources. The external sources may be things that are taken in by the body and during passage through the blood stream trigger chemical reactions, that trigger DNA reactions. Other triggers may be indirect when certain stress situations cause the manufacture of chemicals that become DNA triggers,

Between “dormant” DNA and epigenetics, the ability of life to adapt (change) may be infinitely greater than previously imagined.

Also, a mule is easier to obtain than a hinny, which is the offspring of a female donkey and a male horse.

God created kinds. All actual scientific discovery either upholds direct creation or at least does not render it false.

Creation was a miracle. After that things have progressed along known scientific laws. And it didn’t happen millions of years ago.

“Not once did they say the sturdlefish is sterile.”

Well, neither did the scientists who bred them, because nobody actually knows if the sturdlefish is sterile or not yet.

There is a purpose for everything God creates. Either we’ll never understand, or we haven’t asked the right questions yet.
