Former senior adviser to President Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett talks to FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo about the Trump/Russia investigation.
"I have a high degree of confidence in our intelligence community, investigators comported themselves responsibly," Jarrett said. "Lindsey Graham is the one that encouraged Sen. McCain to turn over the dossier in the first place to the FBI."
"I do know that it’s nearly four years ago and I don’t understand why our focus isn’t on what’s happening right now and today. That’s the investigation I’d like to see," she said.
Bartiromo asked about the origins of the Steele dossier: "What’s happening right now is we are learning the details of what took place and we are getting official confirmation that the FBI knew that the dossier was garbage and made up in a bar because the sub-source of the dossier told FBI officials in early January."
"I was not involved in any of those conversations," Jarrett replied. "But the question I really want to put to you is, what are we doing today?"
"If people want to have an investigation about what happened four years ago, they should do that. But aren’t you concerned about what’s going on right now? Aren’t you worried about the integrity of our upcoming elections? Aren’t you worried about how we’re going to have a safe and fair election?"

Now, it is possible that she is telling the truth, and we all know that Linda isn’t Trump’s biggest fan. But McCain didn’t need anyone to tell him to do something to screw Trump, he already hated his guts.
whoa. boy there is a lot to think about here. One the one hand Lindsey has been dragging his feet on several things. I’ve wondered about this many times.
And saying he liked McCain, hmmm.
McCain hated Trump and certainly didn’t need Lindsey’s input to give that fake trash to the FBI to make trouble for Trump. He was a real rat.
But then Lindsey came through on the Kavanaugh hearing though.

First thing I thought when I read the first couple of lines was it is interesting how Lindsey Graham is up for re election and negative news is out from an Obama official and how the fake conservatives would be out stating hope he loses.
We are in a fight for our lives. This election don’t be swayed by those wishing us failure in the end. Any grief you may have is small minutia compared to what is at stake.
We need his seat. He’s not going to lose. I hope.
Don't like McCain, but haven't seen anything that shows he was involved with the preparation of the dossier.
He's guilty of lots of other things, but not the dossier lies.
Linda and John McCain were in this up to their eyeballs.
Jarrett wouldn’t be beefing about it unless she knew that it was going to be uncovered and she is attempting to circumvent imminent criminal charges against her and her asset by deflecting blame onto the republicans who are clearly and equally responsible.
Most of us knew linda and mcCain were involved from the begining I certainly did feel it.

The Republican senator was attending an annual security conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia shortly after the presidential election in November 2016 when retired a British diplomat approached him.
According to McCain, he didn’t recall ever having a previous conversation with Sir Andrew Wood, but may have met him before in passing. Chris Brose, a staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and David Kramer, a former assistant secretary of state with Russian expertise, joined McCain and Wood in a room off the main conference hall.
After discussing Russian election interference for a few minutes, Wood explained why he’d approached McCain in the first place.
“He told me he knew a former MI6 officer by the name of Christopher Steele, who had been commissioned to investigate connections between the Trump campaign and Russian agents as well as potentially compromising information about the President-elect that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin allegedly possessed,” McCain wrote...
After further discussion, the group agreed to send Kramer to London to meet Steele. When Kramer returned from the meeting and told McCain that Steele seemed to be a reputable source, the Republican senator agreed to receive a copy of the dossier...
“The allegations were disturbing, but I had no idea which if any were true,” McCain said. “I could not independently verify any of it, and so I did what any American who cares about our nation’s security should have done. I put the dossier in my office safe, called the office of the director of the FBI, Jim Comey, and asked for a meeting.”
McCain ultimately turned the dossier over to Comey in a meeting on December 9, 2016 that he said lasted about 10 minutes.
“I did what duty demanded I do,” McCain wrote, adding that anyone who disagrees with his decision can “go to hell.”...
