Never have to have reservations here in the woods. I can instant reservations the instant I set down. Change of itinerary is as easy as walking the other way.
God Bless America.

Good evening, mountainlion, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
It’s nice not having to make reservations, and reversing your direction at will. Is it still really hot?
We cannot seem to make up our minds...HOT, cool, a little rain, warm...
Shavua Tov.
Wishing all our Jewish troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
a peaceful and prosperous week.
I have had similar conversations when I was a 17-year-old Overseas Operator working the graveyard shilf for New England Telephone.
That was years before 911 or the Samaritans, if you catch my drift. Just dial 0....
Keep the Lord’s Day in the Lord’s way!
A blessed Seventh Sunday after Pentecost (Western)/Sixth Sunday after Pentecost [Sunday of the Holy Fathers] (Orthodox).
Hai Kathy! (((HUGS))) Flying jumps.
Thanks Kathy!
Is it still really hot?
It was about 85 today and just rained not enough to get the deck wet.
It is the wash, rinse and repeat for the daily forecasts.
Prayers for our troops, veterans, families, allies, friends, and Canteeners
for a safe and peaceful week ahead.
He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.
I just read the “RESERVATIONS” backthread....not only what a story but what she’s heard from people is astounding!
Bible in a Year:
These commandments . . . are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.
After a young boy faced some challenges in school, his dad began to teach him a pledge to recite each morning before school: I thank God for waking me up today. I am going to school so I can learn . . . and be the leader that God has created me to be. The pledge is one way the father hopes to help his son apply himself and deal with lifes inevitable challenges.
In a way, by helping his son to commit this pledge to memory, the father is doing something similar to what God commanded the Israelites in the desert: These commandments . . . are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children (Deuteronomy 6:67).
After wandering in the wilderness for forty years, the next generation of Israelites was about to enter the Promised Land. God knew it wouldnt be easy for them to succeedunless they kept their focus on Him. And so, through Moses, He urged them to remember and be obedient to Himand to help their children to know and love God by talking about His Word when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up (v. 7).
Each new day, we too can commit to allowing Scripture to guide our hearts and minds as we live in gratitude to Him.
What can you do to keep Scripture on your heart? Why is it important to read and talk about the Word with loved ones?
Dear God, thank You for giving me each new day. Help me to keep Your wisdom in my heart and on my mind.
