FACT: Mask Mandates UNLAWFUL In US

FACT: It is illegal in the United States to sell, offer for sale or promote via any means that touches interstate commerce (which would include any communications form that crosses a state line) any drug or device intended to treat, prevent or cure any disease or disorder of the human body without proof in the form of random clinical trials which are then submitted and analyzed by the FDA. This is controlled under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (Title 21 USC.) The government goes after sellers of supplements and devices on this basis all the time. The law is crystal clear in this regard; both safety and efficacy must be scientifically proved, reviewed and then formally approved by the FDA

I asked a question the other day wondering where all the Product Liability and Tort lawyers were on these claims being made regarding masks which offer ZERO protection against what they are selling.

Now I would like to know WHERE IN THE HELL ARE OUR US ATTORNEYS regar5ding Enforcing LONGSTANDING Federal Law regarding Medical Devices??

Governor Howdy Doody here in California should have already been arrested along with his sister Mayor Wonder Boy Garcetti.

And what about these cities that say they will cite you for REFUSING TO VIOLATE FEDERAL LAW?? Shouldn't they all be Criminally Prosecuted also??

WHERE ARE THE US ATTORNEYS and TORT LAWYERS???

Wow, those are great points all!

I also fail to see how mandating a particular item of clothing falls within the powers of government at any level. It’s an invasion of privacy; you’re being forced to wear an item of clothing, basically to express adherence to the government.

The Covid virus was supposed to be contained in the kind of lab where people wear astronaut suits and go through triple sealed doors. It is a con of massive proportion to assert that now, having escaped those environs, a bandana will magically do the trick.

After all, size matters.*

The pore size of cloth face coverings range from ~ 20-100 microns. The Covid virus is 200-1000x smaller than that, at 0.1 microns. Putting up a chain link fence will not keep out a mosquito. Even the most esteemed medical journals admit their purpose is to calm anxiety. “Expanded masking protocols’ greatest contribution may be to reduce the transmission of anxiety …”

Doesn’t it depend on how much actual protection from spread the mask provides? It seems to be commonly accepted that masks don’t protect you from getting it, at least that’s what the mask boxes say.

If that’s true, then how can the mask protect you from spreading it, in the slight chance that you happen to be covid positive but pre-symptomatic that day?

How can the mask prevent spread from exhalation but not from inhalation?

People like me cannot wear one due to asthma. i tired at the beginning and had an attack and then was rushed to hospital. The doctor told me I should not wear one.
So how the hell can the government tell a business that those who are allowed to enter have to wear a mask and those who do not are not allowed which is in violation of the ADA of which asthma falls under and is protected?

mandating a particular item of clothing

But there is widely-accepted precedent for such a mandate: cover genitals, and for women also cover nipples. In the name of decency.

So the new mandate adds nose and mouth to the cover-up requirement.

Do you plan to participate in a "show your junk" protest as well?

If you can actually inhale through your mask, then it is worthless.

Meh...virus particles do not travel through the air by themselves, so what needs to be measured is the size of the moisture globules they travel on.

Sand will pass through a mesh screen, but wet sand will not.

Interesting. I just saw a blurb on Fox last night that the wealthy folks on Palm Beach down here (that’s the island on the ocean side of West Palm where Trump, Rush and other affluent live), are suing about mask wearing stating it’s a medical device that hasn’t been proven effective and could be harmful. Seems like the la-de-da have had enough!

On the back of the boxes of masks we buy at a local grocery store: Not for use in healthcare settings.

Snort.

It isn’t accepted precedent to cover your genitals, there are decency laws. And those laws are challenged all the time, but there are no laws that require you to cover your face. Secondly, what he is pointing out is the masks are being sold as a medical prevention, but there are laws that regulate medical devices. There is no proof the masks work, yet they are being advertised and sold as though they do. Snake oil anyone?

“Expanded masking protocols’ greatest contribution may be to reduce the transmission of anxiety …”

Thanks Grandpa Dave. The theory that the “masks”, bandannas, and other face coverings made of thin porous cloth worn on peoples faces prevent transmission of microscopic viral particulate by disrupting the trajectory of outbound droplets of saliva and mucus when people are coughing and sneezing is almost complete nonsense. If someone is walking around in public coughing and sneezing, they are still spreading viral particulate regardless of whether they are wearing a mask or not. Telling sick people that it is OK to be walking around in crowded public places when they are symptomatic as long as they are wearing a piece of thin fabric over their mouths is not good public policy.

And telling people without symptoms that they are safer when other non-symptomatic people around them are wearing face coverings is “feel good nonsense”, showing submission to all powerful government figures and entities. It is a reminder that the bogeyman is still out to get you even if you don't personally know anyone younger than 60 who has experienced anything more than normal flu symptoms during this “pandemic”. It does not lessen anxiety in anyone who is not an idiot.

If you are not sick, they can not use the color of law to force you to do any of this stuff. They would be violating 18 USC 242. They must ask nicely like the President does. Notice, he has not mandated or sent out storm troopers to enforce any of this. He asked nicely to flatten the curve and then provided massive government medical and financial help.

Transmission of COVID-19 virus by droplets and aerosols: A critical review on the unresolved dichotomy

Per the above, standard facemasks prevent spread by droplets, but not areosols. For more, see Section 5 from the above.

Yes about the only politicians not acting like a fascist dictator is President Trump and a few blue state governors. This is insane.
